Dark type. Granted, I'm a fan of a lot of types, but dark types advantage over psychic, the pokemon that have that type, and the unique and cool moves the type has make it really fun and diverse.

Fire.
I usually choose fire-stater (lolpun) and the attacks can be pretty powerful.

I am a particular fan of Dragon, Electric and Psychic, but it definitely has to go to Fire for me - if only because I always choose the Fire-type starters now. I just feel that they generally have an advantage over the first pokemon and battles you encounter, but I haven't really looked into it so hey, I might be wrong. ^^'

Water has a special place with me though, because I remember playing Pokemon Blue with my then-Squirtle and facing the Elite Four for the first time with my Blastoise. Good times in my childhood, for sure. P;

If you add "none" to your list I will chose that one. I don't have any favorite type, I just use whatever I want to use.

What do you think? :p

However, I am displeased when people use dragons becaus of their stats. That's not the point. I use dragons because they're elegant and mythical: the Dratini evolution line in particular. Dratini and Dragonair are painfully weak because of their high evolution threshold, but they are so lovely.

I have three favourite types: Water, Ghost & Steel but if I were to narrow it down to one its a close call between Ghost & Water but Water wins I'm afraid.

They're just so Elegant & Lovely but have the capacity to be wickedly strong too. Plus they have few weakness and (most important of all) Misty trains them, and she just kicks ass. In fact her inspiring usuage of water-types throughout her time on screen is what got me into them so much in the first place. Every time I look over the list of water type members on Bulbapedia I'm reminded of why I love them so.

There, I think I've rambled enough, lol.

And because they remind him of little kids. (Sorry. Had to.)

Um, I like electric, and I like ground, and I'm eagerly awaiting the day I get an electric/ground pokemon.

YES. I agree with this. I was originally going to get myself a Dratini purely for the Dragonite at the end of it, and yet, by the time he grew to Dragonair, I had decided to keep him as he was. Yes, he could be a lot stronger, but I really love him as he is and I'm willing to use strategy and careful choice of moves to keep him as a useful member of my team anyway. He's really got other Dragon type Pokemon growing on me, too. ='D It's going to end up my favourite type soon if this carries on.

You (the OP) should've made this multiple-choiced.

I like Water types, mainly because I started with Mudkip in R/S/E.

Well i usually like Dark,Ghost And Dragon Type Pokemon and Electric tooo
But The pokemon that are ghost dark pokemon are awesome

Psychic, closely followed by Ice, Fire, and Dragon.
