This is the first Pokemon game I've played on release day, and also the first one I've played since the 3DS era, and I am, so in love with how charming and silly the dialogue is. What's your favorite?

I'll start with one I discovered yesterday--you can escort Slowpoke home, but walking makes them very tired and they are at like 0.25 walking speed and this is incredible game design. This is the best escort quest to ever exist. I have no notes.

I am seconding Slowpoke here although I am biased to my beloved.

Roomie was calling him a "prince" because he needed nice soft ground to walk on LOL. He'll be a Slowking certainly.

Another one that was really good was Kyogre Sweet and charming southern gentleman I'd say so myself.

I'm a big fan of seeing how some of the newer (Gen 9) Pokemon speak. Like Glimmet and Glimmora speak direct and to the point, almost like a robot. I think it's neat that a lot of Poison-type Pokemon also are worried about harming Ditto, or Cacnea mentioning that it's fine with being friends as long as there's no hugs lol. Chatot imitating human speech but not knowing what any of it means is also one of my favourite interactions so far since it's just one of my favourite Pokemon :yay:

I've gotten around to setting up (mechanics/gameplay spoilers) rail crossings around town, and I did not fully realize when they said "Pokemon can use these if they want!" that it meant Cranidos could come zooming through my town at top speed just. on his lonesome. living his best public transit-pilled life.

My copy just arrived yesterday, so I'm not too far in, but some highlights so far are Drifloon explaining its diet with all the casualness of someone explaining their preferred brand of energy drink and Magikarp talking like a surfer dude. Also, not really an interaction, but I have to mention the human record in the building next to the windmill and waterwheels advertising CDs as a blast-from-the-past and pointing out their advantages over subscription streaming services because of how hard it made me laugh.
