Simple. Who is your favorite protagonist of the Pokemon series? Not just the Player Characters though. I'm also gonna include characters like Gary, Barry...whatever the GSC and RSE rival names are, and May, Dawn, and Kris/Lyra/whatever her name is...y'know. Who's your favorite? Mine's definitely Gold/Ethan.



Forgive me for not knowing their names. I don't watch the anime.
 
Well, if rivals count

MAIN CHARACTERS: Red, White

RIVALS: Blue, Silver
 
My favourite is probably Leaf/Green (or Blue). I like her design. It may have something to do with the fact that she's from Kanto, also. It would have been nice to see her character in the anime.

I really like Lyra's design too. She seems like a great character, I wish we could have seen more of her.​
 
Red is easily the most badass player character. Leaf, being his female counterpart, should be on roughly the same level, so they're tied for first place.

Silver is my favorite rival, mainly because his personality is such a huge departure from those of the other rivals. And he has the best sense of style.

I'd also like to mention Kris and Lyra. Note that my upcoming fanfiction (should it ever be completed) is all about them (although Lyra is referred to as "Soul").
 
My all-time favorite protagonist is Dawn. Best female protagonist ever.

But other favorites are Brendan, White, and Lyra.
 
Gen 1: Red and Leaf

Gen 2: Gold and Lyra

Gen 3: Brendan

Gen 4: Lucas

Yes from the first two I like both male and female protagonists
 
White, Lyra, May, Brendan

Gold, Brendan, May and Red are probably my favourite protagonists. Out of the rivals, Blue and Silver are definitely on top. Never really cared for the friendly 'rivals'.

I'm starting to like White's design more and more, despite the epic hair. Now I've just got to see what she's like in-game.

Sorry Lyra I'm gonna have to kick you off my list.

After finding out that Lyra was designed without Kris in mind, and finding this design for an updated kris I felt a deep hatred I had never felt for Lyra before.

Disregarding kris completely shows me a disrespect for Crystal's introduction of the option to play as a girl. Just disregarding Kris's hair color shows me this is not a remake of crystal.
