Johto's. Or its lack thereof. Seriously, I can't be the only one walking this vast board that absolutely despises the Safari Zone and whoever thought of it! If I got the opportunity to kick one person in the balls, no strings attached, whoever thought of the Safari Zone in Pokemon games would be in the top 10, possibly the top 5. It's nothing more than a cesspool of frustration and randomness. I've had Safari Games that make me look godlike in Tetris by comparison - and I'm pretty fucking bad at Tetris! The only upside is that since my luck with random shinies is also piss poor, I never have to worry about running into one in a Safari Zone, but I'm certain others can vouch for such bullshit of the highest caliber!

(Man, that felt good)

Sinnoh for it's wide range of pokemon. However, if the bug catching show counts as a safari zone, then johto

Hoenn cause unlike other Safari Zones, you can actually catch quite a few pokemon in it that can't be caught outside it.

Kanto had things like magikarp and nidoran both can be caught outisde safari zone

Sinnoh Great Marsh had bibirel, starley, wooper/quagsire just saying a few and they can be caught outside it.

Overall, apart from Hoenns one, only the rare pokemon in Kanto/Sinnoh in these areas could be caught in them, more common ones could be obtained ouside the zone as well as in it. In Hoenn safari zone, common pokemon were natu and doduo, not obtainable outside the zone.

I don't really care for the Safari Zones, but Hoenn's was slightly better than the rest of 'em.

I put Johto because of a: my belief in the return of the safari zone and b: I count bug catching contests as that.

I'm personally not a fan of the Safari Zone.
If the Safari Zone was created to preserve endangered species, why are people still allowed to catch Pokémon in there?

It seems rather illogical when you think about it.

But catching them gives them a good home. When you enter, you pass through security to pay. If you seem bad, then boot you out. It's more of an outdoor animal shelter then an endangered species protection zone

I'm good with Kanto's and Hoenn's. Both are filled with great Pokémon and aren't as rigged as Sinnoh's, where the mud and the bait seem to do nothing at all to make the Pokémon easier to catch or less likely to run. :/

Dude.

You can enter Kanto's without paying so much as a dime or a reduced amount of money if you don't have enough. I don't think that constitutes responsible security.

Also, Hoenn's refuses to let you play without a Poke Block case for some bizarre reason. I guess their definition of "a good home" is one that implictly shows that the Pokemon caught will be used in contests.

I love Johto's lack of a Safari Zone the best. It really pisses me off to look through the grass for what seems to be hours, and find a rare pokemon who only runs away after one turn. Even worse is some rare pokemon (main example: Tangela in Plat) seem to never get in the ball and run after a while of torture/anger. It just seems like thier standing there taunting us out of all our balls, only to walk off like an idiot. I just gave up catching that frickin' pile of vines and transfered one from FireRed.

At least with the bug-catching contest, you get to use a pokemon to weaken the monsters.

Well in FR Safari Zone, my first chansey I found (Shiny as well) ran away...aahhh! DOn't find a shiny in Safari Zone, its hard if you lose it.

Sinnoh. There was a wide range of pokemon in the great marsh post E4, and they were all pokes that I wanted and liked. There were times when they seemed like they didn't want to be caught, but I actually think that the pokemon there were the easiest to catch of any region.

I've never seen a shiny in a safari zone (knock on wood) so I've never felt the pain of losing one.

I liked the Johto one, even though it doesn't really count as a safari zone. The mud in the Sinnoh one sucked, and the Hoenn one didn't feel that special IMO. Kanto was alright, but I didn't like how it was divided into seperate rooms instead of feeling like one connected Safari (don't bring the logic in this up, It's My opinion). I liked the contests in Johto though.

Always and forever will be the Kanto region <333

awww dude, you should have excluded the johto option, since lot's of people are stupid and think the national park is a sort of safari zone too (while it isn't at all). Hoenn is my favourite though, that one was actually fun to explore. Kanto is ok too but a little bit very annoyong (stupid rare fled-pokémon)
