I love the secret bases. Yeah, they're useless, but you can set crap up in a cave! The best one is on Route 120 in a pile of grass; it's right in front of a soil patch so you can plant stuff! Plus, if you climb the stairs, one of the Regi tombs is right there. Anyone else have a favorite spot they call home?

I mostly like the places which are out in the open, accessible without the stupid HMs (that doesn't count Surf, in my book). I sometimes have mine in the desert or just above it.

On Ruby, mine's the patch of grass to the very bottom right of Route 120. And on Sapphire, it's in the tree on the island in Route 114. I can't find my bases in Emerald or my other Sapphire.

I love them too. Like sort of themed ones.

Mine's in 113 or whatever the route is. Spinda Ash one. By the house of glass. I would fill it with glass furniture but I don't have enough ash. Nevertheless, it has dolls and wooden furniture, which actually looks nice.

I went and found my other bases! On Emerald it's up on the mountains in Route 111, and in my second Sapphire version it's up on the mountains in the far north part of Route 115.

Mine is in the desert it is the last one across from the top i like it because it is in the desert where all my favorite hoen pokemon are like baltoy (soon to be claydol) cacnea (soon to be cacturne) and trapinch (soon to be flygon)

In my Ruby Version, my secret base is somewhere in the desert area. But I....still haven't decided on a location for my Emerald Version.

Although I never really decorated it, I made my secret base outside of Rusturf Tunnel where you find the Dark Glasses. As near as I could tell, I found it always as a somewhat unique area to choose within Hoenn.

Mine is on the Island under cycling road near Mauville its great and has loads of space for all my stuff(and I have a lot of stuff.)

I agree, that ones my favourite, too! I love the Magma/Aqua graffitied sign next to it!

Love the graffitied sign. Mine's actually near Fortree, across the lake from Bug Maniac Brandon. I kitted it out to look like a cafe. Wish you could actually have cafes on pokemon...

I really like that area north of Rustboro that you have to surf to get to.
It's got all sorts of great places. Basically, the harder to get to, the more fun.

I like the ones on 119 that you have to surf to get to. Only thing is, you need the boards to use half of them and I still haven't defeated the E4 on this go-around, so it'll be a while...

I decided to hide mine among the cliffs west of Fallarbor town. It's fairly easy to remember since there isn't so much stuff cluttered up there. Nice place really.

I've heard that if you trade records with another version, you'd be able to play that friend in their respective hideout, am I right? I traded with my cousin, and if this holds true, I'm either having a terrible time searching for his base, or he didn't make one, or I could just be as very well wrong.

No, you're right. If you mix records with someone else, their secret base will show up in your game. You'll meet that person in their base and they'll be a trainer from the game (picnicker, school kid etc.) and you'll battle a CPU-controlled version of their team. You have to save the game beforehand, you can only battle them once per day, and you have to have beaten the Elite 4 before they'll challenge you.
