Okay, I used the search button and couldn't find a thread about this. However, if there is a thread about this, just close this one and show me the other one.

Anyway, the title pretty much says it. You can say your favourite anime characters here.

I like Duplica and Dawn the best, but Paul and Ash are cool too.

Favorite trainer would be Ash.
In contests it would have to be Dawn but yah theres already a thread like this so I'll just get out of here.

This seems to be a common thing for threads and my favorite is obvious *points to avatar, signature, and user title* and has been that way for years. I don't have any favorites relating to contests since one, I don't do them and two, I never was a fan of them at all.

May. After Advanced Challenge (specifically how she cared for that Swablu, Torchic's glory evolution moment against Breloom, and her Lilycove appeal), I couldn't not like her, even if she called Treecko ugly. Breloom's my actual favourite character, but that's partly due to game reasons as well.

Absolute favorite character: Musashi!

After that comes Hikari, Shinji, Takeshi, and Satoshi.

I'm a total Battle Frontier geek <3

Out of the main characters though, Brock and Misty, hands down.

And the only thing that made Johto good — Wendy!

It was always Ash for me, but when Dawn came along... fwahh!

So right now it's bothe of the.

I can name them off my head now
Shinji
Casidy
Miyamoto (although she didn't appear in show)
Misty
Saturn
Natane
Hinata
and Falkner or Bugsy

Where do I start? ._.;

Reggie-

Nice lookin' guy and seems to have a very interesting character. If he returns, It'll be nice to see how he shapes out and what happens. He's so mysterious. Folks, this is what famous novels are made of! *Shot*

Aoi-

Tomboys are always fun in anime, and she has good taste in Pokemon (Monferno and Shinx FTW!. I don't know what it is, but I've always had an affinity for Ash's fangirls, and this is no exception.

Dawn-

I like Dawn...because she sucks. Yup. It's nice to have a character who shakes things up a bit. When everyone's winning, it can get a little boring. Dawn's losing streak brought a new twist to the series.

Paul-

Yes, I do like both of them. Shoot me.

Like Dawn, I like Paul because he added something to the series that we've seen so little of. Not that I agree with his training methods, but it's something new for a series that needs more jackasses.

I also like Kenta (Jimmy), Marina, Jun'ichi (Jackson), Pikachu, Chimchar, Gliscor, Ambipom, Cynthia, Cyrus, and last but not least, Meowth. Whew.

James, Ash, Paul, And... GARY!!! :3 I can't think of any other's right now. Oh yeah! May and Wallace are pretty cool.

Hehe....

My favorite character is Ash Ketchum, of course. XD

*points to avatar* Aww, he's so cute! ^^

^^My favorite is what she said above me. He's very adverturous, sweet, and the most dynamic personality. Ash done so many things which other have not. Well thats only me ^_^

I don't have any one favorite character; I feel a select number of the characters are all contributing in their own way. Though, on account of favorites mine are the following: Misty, Jessie, James, Meowth, Ash, Ritchie, and Gary.

Misty, because her multifaceted, dynamic, and quick personality rings well with me and gives leeway for what I see to be the most interesting female and human character in all the series. It's just a tad jarring that she was so shafted as a character post-Orange Islands; like Jessie, James, and Meowth, she had a lot more potential.

Jessie, James, and Meowth, because despite their repetition, I feel they're some of the most complex and developed characters of the series. They take everything with stride but still have earnest wants. They're good yet they're evil by consensus. My issue is not their character but how they're left to plug at the same quandaries they always do in inadvertent jest - "Pikachu and the twerps" - when I feel they're better off doing other things as their characters hold far more capacity than that (as what development we've seen of them adumbrates, IMO). I want to see more backstory, not more failure of capturing Pikachu. I also don't like how they prolong things being "tough" for no reason, but that's more or less a personal pet peeve. But most of all, they're human.

Ash, because he's both incredibly passionate and compassionate at the same time and that's makes for a very awesome character in my eyes. I liked that he started out as a character who had tendencies of being so impetuous and instinctive (as he did make a number of mistakes in the beginning, but don't we all?), as that gives his character breathing space.

Ritchie, because there's not a shred of self-indulgence to his persona, unlike so many other characters under the sun. That's not to say that flaws like that draw away from intrigue - if anything, they bolster anything of the such. But I just feel that Ritchie is one of the more respectable characters and trainers without a window of doubt, and is scantily what I'd call an "Ash clone" given hoe reserved, kind, considerate, and modest he is by comparison.

Gary, not quite because he's one of my favorite characters... but I feel his change in character was admirable enough to make my listing. It's because despite that he miffingly couldn't get above himself in the beginning (as he had to outwardly show his pride to both satisfy it and hide any hair or track of projected insecurity from what I can observe, though he apparently was based on the character Blue so his arrogance is base in nature), I felt he achieved a lot as a solo character and did exhibit more admirable traits, as both a Pokémon trainer and a character, despite his seldom appearance in the Johto seasons.

Hard to say... Since I don't usually view them as "favourite" and "not favourite", but I guess I like all the Pokémon themselves.

As for human characters... Um... Team Rocket and Brock I guess. I suppose May, Dawn and probably Ash as well. I used to like Misty alot, but some Misty fans have soured me from her. So I don't like her as much now.

This is in order

May
Ash
Dawn
Paul
Misty

May: Well.... i like becoz she is nice and cute. my fan out of all

Ash: I like him becoz he loves his pokemon (like me ^_^) and i like when he is a idiot when it comes to love. and i also like it when the writers make him dress up into something funny like Ashley or the time when he had to dress up like a maid. very funny

Dawn: Well i like her becoz she is also cute. sometimes i cant choose from May or Dawn to see who is cuter. ^_^

Paul: He looks cool and is a pokemon trainer like Ash. i like him becoz he is a much better trainer than Ash. (to my standards anyway)

Misty: Back in the Kanto/Johto days i loved when she fight with Ash all the time. and she isn't that ugly like my friends say. she is cute and a good person.

Manga: Sapphire
Games: "Red", Maylene, "Green"
Anime: Zoey, Maylene, Misty, Brock's Croagunk

In the anime, it's a tie between Jimmy and May. Jimmy's like super excited over anything Pokémon, sort of like me. While May at first, I actually hated. Yes, I thought a 10 year old girl who seemed to have developed early was a major and total... Well, I guess "chimera" is the only nice term I could say without needing to use the profane word. But, once the anime got over to the Battle Frontier arc, I eventually thought she was a pretty cool character. In DP, she's even more awesome, having Blaziken, Wartortle AND Glaceon, all being one of my fave pokémon. It's like, whoa.

Now in the manga, my fave character's obviously Gold. Second being Pearl. Gold acts a LOT like me when I'm hyper, and he's not afraid to going beyond the rules themselves. In Pearl's case, he's just funny, since he is THE striaght man of the comedy duo, and isn't too bad to look at. Too bad he only has the same two pokémon with him, Chatot and Infernape.

Finally, the games. My fave would probably be either Cattleya for her Uber cuteness, or Wattson for his lolness. "It's been sometime since I saw you guys, and I hope to see you some time again! Wahahaha!" Wattson's the type of dude who'd see in a retirement home, being one of the coolest old guys around.
