For me Brendan from Emerald, because of the outfit. After him comes Lucas for the same reasons. The rest is cool, too. Is it just me or did the shoes become wider and wider?

Favorite is definitely Gold ^_^ He just looks cool. Plus, he's generally cool in alternate depictions as well.

Red is a very close second though.

The RS outfit, the E outfit, the DPPt hero.

Those designs were WAY more interesting.

Hibiki, people. Hibiki. NOT "Gold". >>

I voted for Brendan, but I love them all. Especially RGBY!Red, but his FRLG design has grown on me.

Red. Gold would win if this was based on Special, but since it's based on the games, nope. Gotta go with silent and deadly.

Yuki gets special points for being super hot in his emerald outfit though.

Red beats out gold just barely for me because he was the original trainer. His exploits are that of legend even for the in game characters of the later generations. I was going to ditch him for gold because he permanently beat down the rest of team rocket, looked cooler, and beat everything that Red did only quicker... Something changed all that when I was playing Gold version though. Meeting the legend, battling him... and losing numerous times. I realized just how awesome he was in comparison to Gold who had it a lot easier going through his journey. So because of that, I see Red as the best trainer out of all of the characters, and that is why he is my favorite. I never liked the male protagonist of generation three because he had no visible personality at all. Same goes for the male in DPPt. I think he is probably going to be known as one of the strongest trainers after Red though because of how epic they made the plot that surrounded him... If he is the real main character that is. In my opinion, in terms of strength the list goes, Red, Gold, Lucas, Brendan. RSE was way to easy. The original versions were really hard compared to the new versions. Lucas beat the Sinnoh league which is said to be the hardest of all leagues in game. Finally Gold I have to say is somewhere on par with Lucas, MAYBE a bit stronger because he managed to beat Red after a while. He is still weaker than Red in my opinion though even though he beat him. I believe that Red would never actually take a defeat lying down, so that lose made him come out of seclusion and go back to training in the world so that he would become stronger that Gold. Why else would he disappear after you beat him?

Ok I changed my mine. I now pick Red. But I was wondering, on Lucas' pic, on his poketch, it says 12 36, does that mean anything?

Red is forever epic to me due to his appearance in GSC. It took me ages to defeat him for the first time, and he was so mysterious. It's like, why the hell does he live in this cave with his strong pokémon? Whatever the reason is, you know it's epic.

This post also serves to remind me that I really, really like the old art style a lot more. The new style isn't bad, but it's just not the same to me.

Red. Just look at him. He's not all peppy and happy like the others. He's totally serious and ready to rumble, without looking like a d-bag about it. Especially in his FR/LG art.

Also, why the hell are the FR/LG!Red and Pt!Lucas artworks so big?

Gold(Hibiki)
Then Emerald Brendan for the look.
I cant ever say I like Red for anything other then beating him. I just as a habit identify him as Ash. Which in turn makes me see him as a joke. Even as a kid I couldnt like the anime so when red popped up with his pikachu. I beat him several times for the joy of it.
*Prepares for Ash fans to attack*
But in his defense nothing is more epic when you confront him with his "..." as he is the champion of champions.
