Just curious, I know that some people really don't like main series games. I, for one, did not like ranger at all (not enough strategy for me), but I really enjoyed the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, especially Explorers of Time, as the story was simply amazing. I also found Link/Trozei quite fun, although a bit repetitive after time. What are your favourites?

ALL OF THEM!
No seriously, I really liked Ranger because the concept was something new and challenging. Plus it sometimes was a real challenge (Steelix, my worst nemesis).
Mystery Dungeon was also amazing, mainly because of the music and the awesome plot.
And of course there's snap which is just a classic. I'm also liking all the hidden stuff in there :D

PMD: Explorers of Time, Darkness, Sky, and they're some of my favorite games of all time. No contest there.

While I do agree with ^, I must say the I like... Most of the ones I've played (i.e. anything in the DS era and beyond), though if I had to pick a favourite spin-off series, it'd still be the Mystery Dungeon games (with my favourite from that series being EOS), but I still enjoyed the Ranger games (bar the origonal), I really like the Rumble ones (except Rumble U, I kinda hate it), Conquest was definately my kind of game, being a stratergy game and all, and the Link ones were OK.

Shadows of Almia. There's not a lot to say: I just had a lot of fun. It beats out it's predecessor for countless reasons. Guardian Signs only added gimmicks, while losing the varied locales and forcing you to have a Pichu. I played though Blue Rescue Team and am playing through Explorers of Sky now. Both are good (particularly Sky's plot), but I think the core gameplay is just too confusing.

Definitely Pokemon Rangers: Shadows of Almia. It's the best out of the three Ranger games and it's great to see how pokemon can be used in a different battle format. I wish there were another Ranger game.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky, hands down

One of my all-time favorite games :'3

I don't think I've played any beyond Generation II. However, I always did love Pokemon TCG on the GB.

Pokemon Conquest can be a blast in the gameplay department, but it gets repetitive if you play for extended sessions. But the same applies to Mystery Dungeon and Ranger, too. And Mystery Dungeon (Explorers specifically) has far and away the most gripping stories in the franchise.

The Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky had such an amazing story. I wish they'd get some more good stories going in some of the new spin-off games.

The first Pokemon Ranger game. Despite being the most frustrating Pokemon game I ever played, it was the first one I ever had 100% completion. I did all the capture challenges, completed the browser and did all the Ranger Net missions including the Manaphy one. Such a shame they made the sequels easier with the new Capture Stylers.

Gale of Darkness is a close second.

I played ranger to the end too, but I subsequently lost my copies of ranger, diamond, AC:WW and platinum, meaning I lost the manaphy :(

My favorite is definitely PMD: Red Rescue Team. I really loved the story, music, and the game's concept of traveling through dungeons as a Pokemon. I also liked how they changed moves and Abilities to have interesting functions in the PMD world.

After the PMD series, Ranger is my second favorite side series, with the first game being my favorite, just because I felt it was the most challenging of the three.

Colosseum, hands down. XD: Gale of Darkness comes a close second.

The original Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games were my first and are my favorite Pokemon games of all time. Love the ability to play as a Pokemon and make your own team, love the story, love everything. Second would be the Pokepark series, probably the original more than the sequel, since, again, you get to play as a Pokemon, the story is cool, and I love all the gameplay features and attraction games.

Anyone remember Pokémon Pinball? Definitely my favorite Pokémon game that's not apart of the main series.

Definitely Pokémon Snap, that game is so much fun and I really hope it gets a remake someday. I've tried a PMD and a Ranger game once and though I liked the concept of both, I never finished either of them cause they just got too repetitive for me.
