I always loved going "cooookiecoooookie" at Ash's Krabby. It was so funny.

Do you like any pokemon names/sounds they make in particular?

Habunake's (Seviper's japanese) 'fanfare' sound. IDK how to describe it but he often does the sound when he comes out of his Pokeball or the latest one when he gets the power up parts in DP170. Best.sound.ever!

Jessie's Yanmega's voice. It sounds strange coming from it, considering the fact that it was revealed as a female during the evil Togepi episode.

Pachirisu, James' Victreebel and the Japanese voice for Vaporeon.

The sixth theatrical Pikachu short "The Dancing Pokémon Secret Base" (the one released with the Jirachi movie) has sterling examples of all my favorite Pokémon cries:

Kimori - "Kimokimo!"
Achamo - "Chamo chamo?"
Mizugorou - "Gayah gayah gayah!"
Hasuboh - "Habba! Habba! Habba! HAAbababababa!"
Sabonea - "Sabone! SABONEEEE!"
Habunake - "Bbb-bb-bbbbb!"
Sonansu - "SooooOOOOO-NANSAH!"
Doghomb - "DONGHAI! Doh doh doh doh..."
Runpapa - "Rrrunpa! Ahrunpa! Ahrunpa-ha-ha!"

That's another thing I really love about the Japanese version - the Pokémon are all fun to listen to, and they all sound something like real animals. It's not like the dub, where every Pokémon sounds like a person saying a Pokémon's name over and over again. ("Wobbuffet!" "LOUDRED!" "Lu-di-colo!"...ugh, gag me.)

QFT. It's annoying when the Pokémon are having conversations.
"Sentret? Sentret sentret. Sentret sentret sentret."
"Vulpix, vulpixvu. Vulpix!"

Let's not forget this.

One dubbed Pokémon I like is Croagunk. Love the creepy frog-like voice. Though I do prefer its laugh in the Japanese version.

I also love Megayanma's possessed-like voice, and Habunake's "brubrubruu". I think Manene sounds really cute (and she has the same seiyuu as Pikachu!).

Pochama (sure not Piplup), Pachirisu and Togekiss are some of my favorites

Habunake.
Masukippa.
Megayanma.
Pochama.
Booster.
Showers.
Eievui.
Eevee.
Fukamaru.
Staravia.
All Muku-line.
Hayashigame
Grotle
Torterra
Dodaitose.
Togekiss.
Sentret.
Pachirisu.
Krabby.
Kingler.

I feel the same way. This is actually more or less one of the major reasons why I tend to avoid the dub, petty as it may seem. Though to it's credit, they've definately done good on that front on occassion. I'd never put Kabigon above Snorlax, for example, and the sort of thing they've done for Croagunk is a step in the right direction.

Anywho.

I remember downloading the japanese version of the episode where Corphish gets sick. It was the first time I saw the show in it's native language, and I had no idea what said monster's japanese name was.
First thing he shouts is "HEY HEY!" and thus, I cracked up.

Mukubird is also big favourite of mine. I think a shining example of how hillarious this thing can sound is when it's fighting Gardenia's Turtwig and plows through the grass before getting hit with a Leaf Storm.

And I can never pass up a chance to mention the bloodcurdling scream of Utsubot. I gotta give 4Kids props for letting Victreebel keep that.

Oh God yes. How could I forget Heigani?

The episode where he fights that dancing Runpapa was a treasure trove of great Pokémon noises. The scene where he tries to demand a rematch and Poncho thinks he wants food and Heigani just shakes his head in frustration and screams "HEI HEI HEI! Hei hei HEI!!" - my God, I was on the floor laughing. So much out of just one syllable.
