sorry If this is already somwhere but I'm new and I'm curious so tall me what you favourite pokemon season is!
mine personally is the first season because I thought it was, i dunno, better, I geuss
so tell me what you think!
 
Oh man, there are so many great seasons! XD

And to be honest, actually, I love all 3 seasons of Johto and all 3 seasons of Hoenn. I like those seasons A LOT! :-D


But, even though I like each season of Hoenn and I have many favorite episodes within those seasons, I'm actually more of a Johto fan (I was never big on Pokemon contests, and poor Ash was sometimes stuck in the audience cheering for May).

So yeah, I have to choose Master Quest because that was my favorite season of Johto!!!! ^_^


And of course, Advanced Battle would be my second favorite season. I really love that season! XD

I just open a thread about how the real seasons are and once again someone use the fan made "seasons"...
I really think people should either go by the real seasons or just by sagas: Johto, Hoenn, etc... why go by opening songs? there's really no logic in that... it's not like there was a special change for any time they changed opening in Johto/Hoenn...

Anyway... by plot and character development I think everyone agrees DP is the best
But I think Johto will always stay my favorite
 
yes I like all the seasons as well! butI can't watch em cause the american dub gives me a headache!
and piplup, I couldn't agree with you more but I was just taking the season list from Wikipedia :D
 
I like them all! But if I had to pick just ONE, it would be Hoenn league/BF as a whole.I grew to love the anime in these seasons, and all of the openings rocked. As I aways say, I was born in Johto, and raised on Hoenn soil. In other words, I came to be the fan I am today during Gen 3. I was just a newb in Gen 2. I cried at the end of the Hoenn league, and again at the end of BF. The generation I grew up on had ended. Whenever pokemon starts over (With new people, pokemon, regains, ect.) I aways find myself singing "It's a new day" from the movie "Spirit"

i liked kanto best! it was funny and random :D (sorry i dont know much about the seasons >.< i just really liked it before tracy came along) and after it i like diamond and pearl...

i dont know much about advanced x.x i skipped from right before misty left till first episode of d/p... did i miss much awesome?

if you're in the US or the UK, then no your fine 4kids is up to there usual EVIL! until DP came around and they finally gave up there rights to pokemon to the pokemon company (Jesus be praised :D)
if you live in Japan, China, or Singapore then yes you missed a bunch!
 
Of the ten seasons of the Pokemon TV show, I like the first five but the first season is my favorite of the bunch. I actually stopped watching the show after Misty left but saw her few cameos in the Advanced Generation series and in the Chronicles series. And in the case of the Diamond and Pearl series, I saw a little bit of one episode but since it was on at 6:30 AM I fell asleep halfway through the episode and if it were on later I would have only watched about as much as I did.

Well, it's true that 4Kids might be considered "evil" in regards to editing (and really, if you're a fan of an anime dub, why let edits bother you in the first place? Edits don't effect my enjoyment of the show whatsoever).

But as far as the voice acting is concerned, I'd have to disagree with you on that one, pokeslob. The quality of the voice acting in D/P isn't nearly as good as it should be. I mean, it's not up to 4Kids standards of quality yet (in my opinion). ^^;


And by the way, Pokemon USA got the rights to the show in the Battle Frontier season. But in my opinion, D/P > Battle Frontier. ^^;
 
I'm torn between the first season and D/P. They're both good, but I think I may like D/P better.
 
The "Pole" edition? I thought it was supposed to mean Polish XD

Anyway, my favourites are the first and DP. DP probably in the lead with the tag battle episodes...yeah, probably DP. Indigo League next then Master Quest

I agree with you that the voice acting by pokemon USA sucks big time
but the edits by 4kids also bothered me big time
so....
either pokemon USA should give up there rights to Viz media or I'll just keep doing what I do now.....
watch it in japanese with the english subtitles :D
 
My favorite season is season 1. It's my favorite because the show was just so much different back then, when compared to now. Some really strange things happened in season 1.

My second favorite season is Advanced Battle. I love this season because it included some of the best work of the original VAs. I also love the theme to that season!
 
I've noticed in both my anime and video game poll's that the Red and Blue saga and the Diamond and Pearl saga are always fighting for the lead

I would have expected Gold and Silver to get up there a little
 
I want to say Diamond and Pearl, but the series isn't over yet so I'll hold my choice for now.
 
that'll be a while, they're only on the 3rd badge I think
 
I really enjoyed the Johto seasons, but I really enjoyed all of them. I don't think there was a bad series. Some people slate the Orange Islands, but I thought it was cool as it was something a little different. Plus Ash caught Lapras and I love them!

actually I love the orange island saga! and yes lapras kicks @$$!
 
Story and battlewise, Diamond and Pearl takes the cake. I haven't been hooked in a freaking anime series since the original Naruto, just waiting for the new episode to come out just to see it. I loved Johto but only for the League. I loved the battle between Gary and Ash even though animationwise it sucked. The only moment the animation was perfect was when Charizard battled Blaziken. They could have made the Blastoise/Charizard match much better, but the battle sucked in animation.
