Like the title says, what's you're favourite item in any game (weapons included.)

Anyway, mine are the Water Tablet from Okami simply because water was SO ANOYING to me when I played this game untill I got this item, that and you can play Jeasus-wolf (I know it's more equipment than item, but it's just too good not to mention) and... I can't really name any others right now so over to you next poster. :)

Re: Favourite Video Game Item

The Wind Waker, from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. It produced the best music of any Zelda game.

Re: Favourite Video Game Item

If there are playable ninjas I never leave town without a bag full of shurikens in final fantasy games.

Re: Favourite Video Game Item

Potions of course! In whatever game I play any potion/form of recovery is vital in keeping my sorry behind alive.

And in regard to weapons, I love dual blades since they usually allow you to strike fast when fighting.

Re: Favourite Video Game Item

The Crusader Blade from KI: Uprising is one of my favourite weapons because it's charged and dash shots make a sound that has a similar effect on me to the light saber sound's effect on Star Wars fans. Also, it has decent range and good power, which is always a plus.

Pokeballs. 'nuff said.

The Portal Gun from the Portal series.

Re: Favourite Video Game Item

I think it would have to be the Blue Feather from the Harvest Moon series. There isn't a single item in any other game I can think of that I have ever put quite so much thought and emotional energy into using.

Re: Favourite Video Game Item

The Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda titles. It's the blade of evil's bane. (what does bane mean?)

Re: Favourite Video Game Item

I'm fond of Smash's Home-Run Bat. @PikachuColoredPichu, bane means "Something which causes death," according to Google. So the "Sword of Evil's Death."

It has to be the Tyrfing from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War (and Awakening, I guess as a random sword). Perhaps it is just my bias for Sigurd and Celice, but I just love the sword since it makes its wielder an effective Mage Killer, not to mention the (original) design is awesome, despite being simplistic.

The Predator Cannon from KI:U comes in second because we have a long history together, usually of it saving my arse on 9.0 difficulty.

Definitely Ike's big golden sword, Ragnell! This is from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. Sweet-looking gold sword that's unbreakable, can emit a shockwave so fast that you can't see it, and shows how incredibly strong my favorite hero is? Hell yeah. :D

Gunblades (sword + a firearm) of any kind. They make me wonder why they don't exist in real life, and no, bayonets on rifles DO NOT count.

Rocs Cape from Legend of Zelda games. I use that everywhere, and it's cool to just fly over your enemies and projectiles.

There were experiments with the concept. Some swords were made with integrated pistols along the base of the blade, and some Indian axes had muskets built into the shaft. The problem was that at the time they didn't really solve a widespread problem - it was quite easy to carry a pistol separate to your sword, for example, and the weight of the pistol screwed up the balance of the blade anyway. And of course later on the bayonet did the same job without the need for complex design.

As for my favourite item, well ... I think the Spinner from Twilight Princess deserves a mention. It's asinine and hardly used outside the temple you find it in, but it's great fun anyway

For the weapon, I'd say, while all the weapons in Ratchet Gladiator are good, The Harbringer/Supernova/Mega Supernova from Ratchet Gladiator is my favourite, simply because it's so satisfying to be able to call down MEAG LASERS OF INSTANT DEATH on your enemies that turn them to ashes with one hit... Yeah, that. I's a shame it dosen't have much ammo though, or it wouldn't be tied for the position of favourite weapon from Gladiator with the Duel Vipers/Duel Raptors/Mega Duel Raptors simply because two guns are better than one... That and they get really fun to use when you get the Duel Raptors and unlock the mod that makes it's shots bounce off walls, which is incredibly chaotic and fun at the same time.

As for items, there's a LOT of competition there, so (for now) I'm just going to say any item that let's you warp back to a town instantly, though my favourite of those would be the Chimera Wing from Dragon Quest: The Journey of the Cursed King simply because of what happens if you use one indoors.

Oh yeah! I remember that item from Rocket Slime! It was so much fun to just send items and enemies flying into the sky, especially if you throw it at them while they're in a stunned animation!

For my favourite items... It'd probably be a tie between Leppa Berries from Pokémon and the All-Divide from the Tales series. I like the Leppa Berry because it not only functions identically to an Ether (Which I STILL wish was buyable from the Pokémart, even if it is expensive and/or requires 7 or 8 badges.) but can be eaten by Pokémon in battles, can be easily obtained in high quantities by growing them, and are the only way to recover PP in multiplayer outside of the Wonder Launcher.

As for the All-Divide: As the name implies, it is an item that halves the damage taken by both your party and the opponent. This might sound like a complete waste of an item, but in the Tales series, this thing works miracles for bosses with damage outputs that are either near or over your current Max HP, and it's almost required for any of the bonus bosses in the game. The only drawback is that it makes battles last a little longer due to the opponent taking half damage, but the fact that you won't have to heal as much with the All-Divide active lets you make up for the lower damage by getting in more attacks between healing breaks.

The rocket launcher from the Halo series. Nothing feels quite as good as getting a big multikill in multiplayer or annihilating a group of enemies off of the face of the world (or ring) with it.

I would say the Hookshot/Clawshot from Zelda, as it's extremely useful, but I find the Monado from Xenoblade just a tad more favorable. It's pretty OP when one thinks about it, but it allows the user to SEE THE FUTURE, cast a protective shield, grant super speed to a person in the party, and even stop enemies from dealing spike damage, which is the most annoying battle mechanic in the game. Only downside is that only a few are known to be able to wield it...

The Attorney's Badge in the Ace Attorney series. I presented it to EVERYONE. here look see I am a serious attorney man
