'ello there Bulbagarden, it's time for another self-explanitary thread. :) Seriously though, even though most of the time we usually play as the goodie-two-shoes, there are sometimes those villians that you really love... Or you really, REALLY love to hate, and this thread is for you guys to discuss said villians. 'nuff said, let's get on with one of my favourites.

This one is from a game that I really, really don't want to spoil for you (even if said spoilers don't actually state the names of characters or anything), but I havn't actually finished it yet, so please don't spoil anything for me... Either way, WARNING: SPOILERS FOR XENOBLADE CHRONICLES.

This is one of the few villians that I get genuinely angry at (in a good way) whenever he appears: Metal Face. As for why I hate him so... Wait, are you sure? I warned you of the spoilers... Whatever, here are the reasons I think he's a good villian:

1. He kills various characters the main ones have some important relationship with, and in a rather epic fashion too, including Shulk's childhood friend.
2. He is revealed to have once been a good friend of one of the party.
3. He constantly gets the upper hand against the party, and he taunts them while he's at it.
4. His voice and design just scream "evil bastard."

Anyway, that's enough about me, what are the villians you find enjoyable, or simply the ones you want to boil in acid?

FF6; Kefka: Dude's pretty much the Joker if he were in a Final Fantasy game and had magic powers. He turns an orphaned girl into an emotionless living weapon, kills his own subordinates for kicks, attempts to burn down a whole castle's worth of people, poisons another whole castle's worth of people (which included innocent women and children), kills his own boss and pretty much kills the rest of the Espers. He also successfully takes over the world and incinerates villages for lolz which makes kicking his angel winged ass all the more satisfying.

Devil May Cry 3; Vergil: He simply radiates style as much as Dante does. Between his slick sword skills, snark to snark combat with Dante and awesome theme songs you have a guy who you'll love to fight again and again for the hell of it. Plus you can play as him in certain versions and imo is more fun to play as than Dante.

Red Dead Redemption; Edgar Ross: Not even 5 minutes into the game and I already wanted to ice this bastard and leave his remains to be eaten by wolves. He works for the FBI but kidnaps Marston's wife and son so he can basically do his job for him, acts smug throughout the story and worse keeps insisting he has the moral high ground simply because he didn't kill anybody despite his actions costing hundreds of lives indirectly and endangering many other innocent lives. After I beat the game I used a glitch to kill him over and over again in every way possible way I could think of like tying him to railway tracks, pushing him off a cliff into a river, burning him alive, blowing him up, shooting him with hundreds of bullets, dragging him to death with my horse, feeding him to bears and throwing knives at his crotch until he dies.

That's all I can think of right now but I'm sure there's more.

Oh man my list of favorites is crazy long but, here are a few of them.

Monokuma - Dangan Ronnpa Trigger Happy Havoc
Branka - Dragon Age Origins
Knight Commander Meredith - Dragon Age 2
Lambda - Tales of Graces F
Seymour - Final Fantasy X
The White Witch - Ni No Kuni

I'm just going to put them all in spoilers, just in case.
Dark Bowser-Mario and Luigi:Bowser's Inside Story
Fawful-Mario and Luigi:Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story
Zanza-Xenoblade Chronicles
Bass.EXE-MegaMan Battle Network series
Zant-The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess
Nergal-Fire Emblem:The Blazing Sword
Metal Face-Xenoblade Chronicles

Dr. Eggman from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He's very amusing (and was intended to be that way in Japan, though when he first appeared in the US, we pulled a "American Kirby is Hardcore" and called him "Dr. Robotnik" to make him more serious...even though the series was about a speedy blue hedgehog freeing woodland creatures from robots).

Ooh, easy list for me. ^^

Mr. L - Super Paper Mario (he's just amazing lol. And actually challenging unlike the other baddies, imo)
Ghirahim - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (he's just SO entertaining. :D)
Vaati - The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (BADASS PURPLE WEARER. He's also in Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures, though the latter turned him into a joke. >.>)
Black Knight - Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn (He's just badass and not entirely evil. He just has a cool design and a really interesting story. And I love his connection with Ike)
Volga - Hyrule Warriors (more badassness! He's a pain to beat though. But he's PLAYABLE with the new DLC! :D)

besides his fabulousness, I really like fawful from mario, petey piranha from mario, hades from kid icarus, gangrel from fire emblem, miror b. from pokemon, porky from mother/earthbound, jirall from the last story, and...uh...well, that's all that's coming to mind atm.

I'll be using spoilers for reveal villains. I usually don't care for vallians in games but a few that I loved or was at least fond of include;

Heavy Rain (Oragami Killer)
Because I didn't see it coming and had already gotten invested in that character under the pretence as the good guy. I like the way they handled it. Wont say which character it turns out to be :b

Dangan Ronpa (Monokuma)
Junko Enoshima. Because she's batshit and evil but somehow loveable all at the same time. My favourite villain to date.

Resident Evil 5
Wesker. Purely because he's the campest villain ever and it was pretty funny to watch.

Far Cry 3, Vaas Montenegro. The cool kind of crazy.

Pokemon, Giovanni/TR. Because they are shit at their job and it's funny.

Legend of Zelda, Ganon. Because he's sufficiently scary as a villain. Most of the time villains are much less intimidating than you expect, but Ganon doesn't disappoint.

Kefka - One of my favourite villains ever, he's just so damn entertaining. He's also seem to be just a generic, evil for the sake of being evil until you find out that he has a nihilistic point of view where he believes that there's no point in living if you are just going to end up dying, so you might as well just destroy everything. That made me actualy feel sorry for him, something barely any villain can do, at least to me.

Zant - I love how creepy and intimindating he's during most of the game, but then he flips the crazy switch and goes insane in the battle against him.

Fawful - The best villain in the Mario and Luigi series in my opinion. In the first game, he completely overshadows Cackletta and he's awesome in Bowser Inside Story.

Vaas Montenegro - The scariest villain ever and entertaining at the same time, everytime he was on screen i was always scared, at any moment he could go into a rage and kill everybody. He also has some awesome dialogue.

Handsome Jack - It's the type of villain that you just love to hate. He's entertaining, funny as hell and also pretty brutal. He's the main reason why i enjoy Borderlands 2 story so much.

Steven Armstrong from Metal Gear Revengeance. Everything he says and does is simultaneously both hilarious and awesome. His boss fight alone was enough for me to become a fan of both Platinum Games and Metal Gear.

LYSANDRE. LYSANDRE. LYSANDRE! He is pure beauty. He is nice to his grunts and used to help people before he lost faith in humanity. He'd be a nice guy if he didn't want to kill a load of people.

And then we have Girahim! He's an enjoyable villain and damn fabulous.

Vaati from The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

I like some of the more comedic ones, such as TV Dinnah and Duvroc from Little King's Story and Hugh Bliss from Sam & Max.

Most villains from legend of zelda are awesome such as:
Ganondorf
Vaati
General Onox
Majora ('s Mask if you consider it a villain)
I like villains from other frachises as well, such as: Sephiroph (FF7), Maxie (Pokemon Ruby), Bowser (Mario series) and Giovanni (Pokemon Red)

Bowser (Mario Bros. series)
Ghosts (Pac-Man)
Gnasty Gnorc (Spyro the Dragon)
Validar (Fire Emblem Awakening)
Ganondorf (Legend of Zelda series)

zero 2 (kirby 64)
lysandre (XY)
master xenahort (kingdom hearts series)
ashnard (fire emblem path of radiance)
solarsis (sonic 06)
hades (kid icarus uprising)
kristoph gavin (apollo justice ace attorney)
jean descole (professor layton prequels)
princess shroob (mario and luigi partners in time)
THERE'S TOO MANY!

Giovanni from RBY, FRLG. The original crime boss of Pokemon.
Doctor Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, from the Sonic series. A mad scientist who enslaves creatures and builds evil robots? Yeah instantly a favorite.
Mr. L. Yes, I know it was pretty damn obvious he was Luigi, but there's something to be said about having to fight a brainwashed Luigi. He finally gets a time to shine and showcase his awesome abilities.
Fawful. Finkrats. 'Nuff said.
