Featured Pokémon from 2025 return for Pokémon GO's final Community Day event for the year on December 6th & 7th

Details have been released for Pokémon GO's December Community Day event for 2025, which despite the name will run across an entire weekend, Saturday December 6th and Sunday December 7th. Pokémon that were featured in Community Day and Community Day Classic events in 2025 will return for this event.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active between 2:00pm and 5:00pm on both days of the event:

• 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
• 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
• 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period.
• 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
• 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
• Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.

The following additional event bonuses will be active from Saturday, at 9:00am to Sunday, at 9:00pm local time:

• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for one hour.
• One additional Special Trade can be made, for a maximum of three per day.
• Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust.

Limited-time Evolution requirement changes
During this event, the following Pokémon will have their Evolution requirements changed to become substantially easier than normal:

• Eevee→Espeon: exploring 1 km with Eevee as buddy.
• Eevee→Umbreon: exploring 1 km with Eevee as buddy.
• Eevee→Sylveon: earning seven hearts with Eevee as buddy.
• Floette→Florges: earning seven hearts with Floette as buddy.
• Pawmo→Pawmot: exploring 1 km with Pawmo as buddy.

All progress players had made towards the normal Evolution requirements will reset at the start of this event, regardless of the amount of progress already made, so players will all be starting from the same baseline for completing these evolutions. All of these Evolution requirements will return to normal following the conclusion of this event, on December 7th, at 9:00 p.m. local time, so players who had previously made progress towards these evolutions are encouraged to do so while the requirements are still lowered.

Collection Challenge
Event-themed catch-focused Collection Challenges will be available as part of this event. Trainers completing these will receive Stardust and XP.

Special and Field Research
A Community Day-exclusive Special Research story, December Community Day 2025 Special Research, will be available for purchase at US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency). This Special Research can also be gifted to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher. Amongst other rewards, Trainers will receive the following upon completing the Special Research tasks:

• Encounters with Pokémon featured in previous Community Days and Community Day Classics in 2025
• One Elite Charged TM
• One Elite Fast TM
• One Rocket Radar

Please note that this Special Research does not include an in-game medal.

Free Field Research will also be available. Completing this research will award encounters with Pokémon featured in previous Community Days in 2025.

Featured Attacks
Eevee caught or hatched during the event will know the Charged Attack Last Resort.
