A massive city filled with sections that were like different worlds compared to each other. A place where one could go from a high-tech industrial section to farmlands and towns that have gone away with all technology. And a place where some individuals were born with magic. Such a place would be Fell.
The ones born with strange powers are usually female (though a few males have been reported) and are referred to as a “magical girl.” Though the public knows about them, their numbers are uncertain as they appear to be normal humans. Some say Fell would be better off without them, while others think they’re much needed as some of the magical girls use their powers for good, while others are indifferent but think the crime fighting can get a bit out of hand.
Which was something Clair was about to find out.
The young woman walked on the sidewalk in a more modern section. The sun occasionally broke through the cloudy sky only to be covered once more. The puddles of yesterdays rain still remained, and though it was cloudy now the day promised to be sunny in the evening. A car drove by, sending a large splash in Clair’s direction. She quickly stepped to the side as she heard gasps of dismay from the few passing people. Looking down at herself and seeing that not a drop of water had gotten on her she began to walk again… only to hear something going on at a nearby building.
