Yeah, so I entered the mono tournament and I'm rolling with the fighting type.

So, I'd like some help with the squad.

Here goes:

Infernape
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Naive / Hasty
EV's: 116 Atk / 200 SpA / 192 Spe

Close Combat
Grass Knot
Flamethrower
U-Turn

Comments: a combined MixApe / LeadApe set. I know the EV's look a bit weird, but I need more power on U-Turn to take out psychics, which could spell death for my team.

Lucario
Item: Choice Specs
Nature: Timid
EV's: 252 Spec. Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP

Aura Sphere
Shadow Ball
Close Combat
Dragon Pulse

Comments: Slightly altered Specs Lucario

Poliwrath
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd

Substitute
Focus Punch
Rock Slide
Waterfall

Comment: Standard Sub Punching set. Not too exciting.

Heracross
Item: Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 96 HP / 252 Atk / 160 Spe

~ Megahorn
~ Close Combat
~ Stone Edge
~ Pursuit

Comments: another stolen Smogon set.

Now for the non-fighting type Pokes: (The rule is that they have to have a fighting type move)

Gengar
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Timid
EV's: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

~ Shadow Ball
~ Thunderbolt
~ Focus Blast
~ Will O Wisp / Explosion (haven't decided here yet)

Comments: mostly taken from Smogon again, I thought a Ghost fit in well because my team has a weakness to ground attacks

Electivire
Item: Expert Belt
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4HP

~ ThunderPunch
~ Ice Punch
~ Cross Chop
~ Earthquake

Comments: Standard Physical Electivire; he's my counter to those pesky flying types.

I dont like this team, mostly because Im using dark :/
However it does look awesome

Looks good, but I'd suggest a Timid nature on Specs Lucario. Speed can be very helpful.

1) You only did this because of me
2) I agree with Freddie, Rocks don't like you
3) On Gengar, it depends whether you want to keep a Defensively weak Poke alive with the weakened attack, or take out a poke quickely. Explosion is probably preffered (in my oppinion) because Steel is taken, Fighting is good against Rock, and Shadow Ball counters other Ghosts.
4) If Infernape gets taken out, your only defence against Psychic types is Heracross, who has a 4x weakness, and Gengar, who's weak to Psychic. Against a Psychic team that will probably be based around countering Bugs and Ghosts, you might not get very far agaisnt them.

yep, I did get the idea to get help from you.

and about a lack of psychic counters, I planned on using Lucario as my primary psychic counter with Heracross as backup. Infernape would be hit and run.

I'm not really sure what else I could do to counter psychics though

I would help a bit more, but I dont want to completely decimate my chances of my dark types beating you

Just so you know, I am adjusting my team now that I know somebody is using a fighting type lol

i recommend Poliwrath over Breoloom. Breloom can function well at certain times, Poliwrath beats a lot of things easily, and completely walls T-Tar

I'm putting my bets on this team.

Looks epic! It can probably obliterate my mixed team...
