I pretty much exclusively call them films, just seems like the right word. Probably cos my dad calls them films, but then again he calls any physical media 'tapes'.

I generally only use 'movie', but I'll occasionally use 'film' online.

I really call them both, whichever comes to mind first, not giving much thought about it.

I've noticed being the same for several cases of British VS American English. Since I'm neither and have been taught the language "in a vacuum" I just roll with either really.

I call them movies.

"I wanna watch that movie." "I loved that movie!" "Wow, that movie really blew ass."

Stuff like that. =D

"Feature Length."

Seriously, though, I tend to change between movie and film depending on what my brain decides to say at that moment.

I usually use movies. But it really boils down to a case of whatever I feel like honestly.

I can remember a few instances when I’ve called them films, otherwise I say movies.

I call them "movies". But here in Australia, we use "cinema" for places to view movies instead of "theaters" which tends to be used in the United States of America; but I say "I am going to the movies" when I go to a cinema.

Movies.
Though Talkies are just one type of movie since they weren't as popular until movies could easy put voices into the movies.. Silent movies aren't really talkies..

Movies. I don't think I've ever referred to a movie as a "film" in normal conversation; it just seems a little old-fashioned to me, I guess because my grandmother says it that way (like she calls TV shows "programs").
