Serebii.net is reporting that the next episode to air in America - the final episode for 4Kids and Kids WB - will air on July 8th and is entitled Pasta La Vista.

Pasta La Vista, 4Kids.

And so end the era of 4Kids dubbing Pokemon. Hopefully we'll get better titles.

Not serebii. pokemon-safari.com did, check your sources >(
I've checked and it was definately Serebii.net that I saw the title at.

Besides, the real source is Jetix. Which country is ahead of America?

Serebii got it from the #pm staff as SZGY capped the episode in spanish today.

I already know the one thing May holds up is most likely edited out. She shows them a page in the book she's reading that has a bowl of ramen, some chopsticks, and the words "Chinese noodle" over it. That speaks for itself.

oh well the end of an era approaches
hopefully there will be less pointless edits and cuts
but i hope the titles are up to the same standard as that is something i always look forward to

Just check serebii's main page then :P

Anyways, Spain is ahead of america up to now. Probably France and Germany will be catching up too.

There's also quite a bit of violence that I doubt won't make it in the dub. The last episode to prominently feature fighting-type pokemon, "A Shroomish Skirmish," had quite a few edits, and I bet this one will be the same.

^ But I thought that episode they just took out the repetitive animation of Combusken Vs. Breloom. They left quite a lot of contact in that episode otherwise.

They did some of that, but they also took out some original shots of the pokemon hitting each other.

I wish I could get a copy of the episode so I could see if 4Kids makes any ridiculous ramen -> spaghetti edits.

Two possible reasons for this dub title.

1. The last ep for 4Kids period.
2. The last ep aired on Kids WB period.

As we all know, 4Kids is trying to recoup the money they're losing from not having the Pokemon license with their crappy new shows such as Chaotic and maybe Viva Pinata, but it's not really theirs to begin with. And Kids WB won't last much longer, due to the crappy CW merge and having all American shows on Saturday mornings, even ancient crap like Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry.

At least their last episode is a decent filler. So many of the early Battle Frontier eps were just.... lacking.

PUSA at least have the advantage of taking over the series from arguably it's highest quality level in a very long time. And with the promise of keeping the great original music and dumping the edit-happiness we got under 4Kids the only thing they really need to do is ensure that the cast works well. And from the Mirage special, I'd say they only really need time (which they have for the series and didn't have for the special) and a few specific recastings (Brock, James, May and possibly Ash).

So, Pasta La Vista 4Kids. May you never darken our doorways ever again. :)

I'm gonna miss the VA's a ton though...

Now that I think about it, I'd rather have the same voices over the editing bit. They screwed over the whole thing with the new VA's. I just don't understand why they couldn't hire them back. For that, I will never forgive PUSA. See you in hell. (I know, I'm making a big deal over it, but still...) We've been with Veronica Taylor, Eric Stewart, etc. since "Pokémon, I Choose You!" Pasta la Vista to all you guys, I'm sorry that some second-rate actors had to steal your jobs that you so perfected.

You know, my dad said that he and a lot of other people at the time were just as upset when they re-casted Barney on the Flintstones.

They didn't "steal" the roles any more than Eric Stuart "stole" the role of James from Ted Lewis or Maddie Blaustein "stole" the role of Meowth from whoever did the voice of Meowth in those first 29 episodes.
