I'm just curious, if the final episode comes somewhat soon or whatever, or if you see it, what music would make it epic?

For me it would be Advanced Adventure, and maybe some TR themes.
 
I'd go for Mezase Pokemon Master!, the theme song that started it all. I've seen many other Anime in which the very first opening was used at the climax of the series, or at least a saga of the series. So I do think that would it pretty epic.

They need a medley of the ED's though. How epic would that be?
 
I agree "Aim to Be a Pokémon Master" should be used too, the full song. Also just to do it, I think they shoudl look back over Ash adventures and have music "You Can Do It (If You Really Try)" playing.If you think of the lyrics in it, more these ones, it makes sense:

Maybe if there is a battle in this last episode, I'd like to see Kanto Trainer battle music used just for more nostalga, plus I liked it at the time with the guitar in it.

a little offtopic but I am curious to know why people some are thinking about what should happen in the final episodes. I don't think pokemon is going to end anytime soon, the anime is doing well as it is. But so far nothings really been that predictable for D/P anime much, so we don't know whats happening past what the latest Japanese episode is. I do know pokemon episodes are getting close to 600 episodes and it has been running for a long time, but thats no reason for the show to end, cause not everyone has seen all the episodes and the nwest anime always brings a new audience anyway, so thats a plus to keep things going.

I'd also like the first song from the days of Kanto and gen I.

Yes, Mezase would be the best choice as the main insert song. Shinji Miyazaki's BGM from the movies would be nice too, as they effect the athmospere of important scenes a lot.
 
The version of Mezase Pokemon Master that played in AG191 and in Movie 4.

Mezase Pokemon Master would be good, and Gotta Catch Em' All would be great for the dub (hint hint PUSA, that would be epic and well worth the royalty money).
 
(We gotta have the entire main cast singing Mezase Pokemon Master as the ED for the last ep :-D)

But yeah, of course MPM would be an awesome insert. Some of the more recognisable Kanto music as well like Namida no blahblah/Tears and-something-to-do-with-clouds...or-rain (? :p)

I'd not be complaining to hear Kaze to Isshoni, TR's original motto BGM, Boku no BF e .etc. either.

Nice as that would be, what good would Dawn be doing singing "I want to be the best like no one ever was" and "I will battle everyday to claim my rightful place"

hmm... I still like this idea though.

Dunno how it would be in the dub though.
 
I'm hoping they don't have the "main characters" singing together, good god, that would be cheesy. :p

That being said, I don't think all the main characters will ever be shown together again, even in the last episode. Instead I see the writers doing separate short epilogues for about 1-2 minutes for each main character.

There's no way in hell we will ever see every main character, in addition to all the rivals, in the same episode. This is on top of whatever new main girl characters are introduced in the future.

I thought it was pretty cool when Digimon did it. If they redid some of the songs with part of the cast instead of every main character ever doing one song, I think it could be really cool.

Oh, I never heard that before. But they will definatly have the original tmeme in it somewhere, for nostalga puropses. I could see how that song could work with all them singing it, but it would be cheezy IMO too. I would be like some of the original songs used in the past, some just don't work now like they used too.

I liked a lot of the the pokemon music and songs back at the time, but listening to them now, ugh, such as "Pokemon world theme" I liked it then, but now, its lost something for me. Actually it was one of my favourite pokemon tunes then.
 
I couldn't be in more agreeance with Scott85 on singalongs. I think they just about vehemently trounce any scene to death in the vapid, contrived, reused, and hokey nature I feel they call along. They grieve me. :p (it's not that I don't want a happy ending as Pokémon is a happy story and you can't have a happy story without a happy ending in some way, I'd say, however whimsical).

For the culmination of Pokémon, something that calls a might smidgen towards the nature "epic" would be obviously needed. Any such track from the Japanese BGM would work for me. But I'd rather prefer it to be something of a potent statement of musical impact. Surmounting about something more than a presagable remix. I'm not sure if I can quite bring finality to which at the moment. It depends upon what the final episode is to be. But if a dub opening theme were to be used, I feel an instrumental version (or a piano solo) of "Pokémon Theme" (Season 1's opening dub theme) as the final episode reflects back upon all events (in hindsight) would be very poignant and I think it would work well to bring closure to the show.

B-b-but...Pokemon is cheesy! :p It deserves a heart warming, full cast, rendition of MPM!
 
Actually, I really do think I would prefer an every main-character song like in Digimon. That's actually a good idea. Bokura no Digital World was a FABULOUS end to 02, and 3 Primary Colors rounded Tamers off very nicely.

But then again Pokemon's soundtrack fails in comparison to Digimon...

I love Mezase Pokemon and that would originally be my preferred ED, I think I'd like an epic, swooping chorus of voices instead. x]
