final fantasy 13

March 9th is a big day for me. why? because final fantasy 13 is coming out!!!!! It is going to be so awesome? so who is getting it? I'm pumped and ready!!!!!

Was looking forward to it until I read it was a super-linear interactive movie.

Square Enix really mucked this one up.

Honestly I'm not sure what to think about this one. I read a review that said the game play was like this: run down a hallway, battle, hallway, battle ect., and the story really won't start until chapter 11. I also don't their are any merchants or shops. I read that all your item buying was done through a menu. Its like they couldn't put those in because "programming is too hard to do in HD". (I read that off of Kotaku, which came from a collectors edition book or something.)

I'm in the middle with this one. I'd really like to see what the PS3 can do when developers actually take advantage of it, but some of the things I've heard about it makes it harder for me to shell out 60 bucks for it. (I heard Japanese gamers were only getting a 17 dollar trade in value for their FFXIII copy. Geez.)
