I just wanted to report that Final Fantasy Tactics is getting re-released just in time for it's 10th anniversary on May 10, 2007. It includes added cinematic sequences for all the classic events of this great game including *spoilers*
Delita punching out and kidnapping Princess Ovelia and carrying her away.
as well as
meeting Algus and him eventually betraying the team and killing Delita's sister
amongst others.

Edit: It's for PSP.

A re-release of FFT? Sweet! I hope they fixed that "Defeat Dycedarg's eldest brother" thing XD

Once my upcoming source of income starts up, I need to get my hands on this thing. I am probably the biggest FFT fan in the world, it was my first RPG (late bloomer)

Also there is apparently new jobs and perhaps new places to visit.
 
They didn't change too much, right? It's still basically the same game, just with a few nifty additions?

I'd hate for them to destroy the core of what made this game so much fun >>

Oh yes, they definitely need to fix that text screen at the academy, where it's saying "little money", that scene takes longer then it needs to >>
 
Everything is the same from what I can tell. Also, in the "little money" scene the reason that took so long is because in the original Japanese version, it had about the same time delay between the three kanji characters that appeared on the screen to represent those words.
 
Hey hey, let's not forget the random TIME PARADOX cameo character, too!

Well. 'Characters', actually, but they've only given a silhouette for the second one so far. (unless they keep in that other cameo, too, in which case that'd make three?)

Gafgarion's class will finally be playable~ /o/~

Personally, though, I'm looking forward to a retranslation more than anything else. Finally understanding the plot will be awesome.
 
Kauri, maybe it's because it's been years since I had access to a working Playstation, and thus have been denied the ability to play FFT again, but I'm not sure what you're reffering to ^_^;

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I know who the "Time Paradox" character is, but...

Ah, sorry. I was referring to this~ [533k, cameo/'guest'-character spoilers?]

One confirmed (his quote makes me laugh - "You don't know who I am? I'm the hero of this story."), one silhouette. It makes me wonder if they're even going to keep the original cameo-character, since they've just added two new guests...
 
Ah, gotcha =o *looks* Wow, like those new graphics =o

Retranslations, huh? I'm guessing no more confusing "Wildbow" when it should be "Wild Boar" =D
