So is anyone else excited for this? I played Final Fantasy XI for about 2 1/2 years and eventually got tired of the battle system. I hope to find something a little more complex and fast paced in the new game. Even if I don't, so many of my friends are going to be playing with me that it won't be such a lonely trek this time around (whereas last time I only really played with one or two other people.)

Please, no FF vs Warcraft crap. I've seen enough fanboy wars over the two.
 
Hopefully it will be good. I wanna be a black mage in it
 
Yeah, I'm a little nervous about the new system they have, but I think it'll be a pleasant surprise. The black mages are always a fun and necessary class. :3

I think I'll shoot for something like an archer.
 
I've always been interested in XI, but didn't have the funds nor time to play it. Now that I have both, I'm holding out to see what XIV has to offer. Can't wait.

Same here. XIII kind of re-piqued my interest in Final Fantasy, and since I've been playing Guild Wars, I now have a taste for MMOs that wasn't there when XI came out. And with a job, I have the funds to at least consider a subscription MMO.

Definitely interested, but I haven't yet been wowed. Could easily change, though.
 
Heh had to necro this thread, I suppose. Good time to do it since the game comes out tomorrow.

I played through a bit of the Beta, it was fun, but I dunno, I've been out of the MMO loop for half a year now so it will take me a while to get back into the groove. I will be playing it starting tomorrow none the less though.
 
Rock on! What server are you shooting for? I and a bunch of friends are shooting for Lindblum.
 
Eh I played the beta on Selbina with a few friends, server was laggy as hell though, so I'm not entirely sure... shoulda figured it being called Selbina would lead to nothing but horror stories =_=;
 
I think it looks really cool and I think the level up system and character design system looks awesome, but I'm iffy on buying it right now. I usually don't have the time to really invest in Online games and paying a monthly fee is a bad deal for me when some months I might not have a chance to play it at all. I'm hoping they do some kind of lifetime membership fee that way I can pay that high price and be done. I'm also iffy on my computer's Hardware, according to the site It'll run the game, but I might wait until I can upgrade my computer anyways.
 
Yeah I was running the game on ~half settings with my current PC, and other than server issues, the game ran pretty smooth. Regardless it is a beautiful game. Now to go pick it up from gamestop so I can start playing it :D
 
I wasn't really interested until I literally saw the trailers and character designs.

I'm itching to play as a Lalafell.
