Been lurking on different Pokemon websites for a while and couldn't decide which one to join.
Decided to join bulbagarden as it seems to be the biggest and most active community.

As for myself, I am not really a "Pokemon freak/addict" or however true fans call themselves. I am more of a Pokemon gamer rather than a anime lover. I have never really been in love with the anime. Watched some episodes as a kid, that's it.

I started my Pokemon gaming journey with Pokemon Red back on the first GameBoy. The next was Pokemon Crystal with a special edition GameBoy Color.
I took a break there, as you cannot really afford to buy games at a young age, so I had to wait for someone to be kind enough to buy me another Pokemon game. The next game I owned was Pokemon Ruby on an GameBoy Advance SP. Played it for a while, then got Pokemon Leaf Green. It was good, but sort of boring as it was just a remake.

And sadly, this is where my Pokemon journey stopped. I was getting more into Console and PC gaming rather than Handheld gaming (although I still own 2 PlayStation Portables). I also mostly quit due to getting addicted to MMORPGs which I still actively play. More likely hardcore than just "actively".

I played Emerald and a few random Hack ROMs on my Phone though, as I just couldn't resist not having Pokemon "on the go", but never made it far in those games. So my knowledge is pretty much capped at Generation 3.

Pokemon has evolved a lot since then, both in game features and graphics, so I am hyped to get back into it with Pokemon Sun and Moon. Especially now that Pokemon nowadays feels like some sort of "MMO" (considering there is online trading, battling, and other online stuff).

Hopefully Nintendo will consider releasing a Pokemon Sun/Moon 3DS Bundle, as I do not own a 3DS yet, and that would be the best way to acquire one.

Howdy there, welcome to the forum. I haven't really watched much of the anime either, though I've played a lot more of the games than you listed. :p

Hope you enjoy your stay here!

Thank you all for the welcomes. I forgot to mention that I am playing Black 2 right now, trying to catch up with new generations.

If there was anything to recommend from Generation VI (the current, soon-to-be-previous Generation) it'd be Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, should you want to play them once you get your 3DS.

Anyway, welcome to the forums! I think you'll be as anxious as we all are waiting for May's announcements at the Current Events: Pokémon Sun and Moon board, but drop by there sometime! I'm most active over there as well as in the Fun & Games section.

I will be buying the 3DS just for Sun and Moon, hopefully in a bundle. But thanks for the recommendation. If anything, I will try and watch some walkthroughs for Omega Ruby, since Ruby was one of my favourites!
I still have to lurk the forums a bit more to see which sections I would be interested in. I saw there is a Sun and Moon section, which is what finally made me register, and that there are Battle and Trading sections, which is what I am looking forward to when I finally get my hands on Pokemon Sun and Moon.

Oh, trust me, that's absolutely fine to just get a 3DS (bundle) for Sun & Moon, 20th anniversary hype and all, but I could go on for several pages on the games I've played and whether or not I'd recommend them.
