if this is the wrong place, please move it. Need your help. A long while ago I had a comic and it was a superhero one, first edition (number 1) from I think, 1971 or there abouts. I can't find what happened to it, but what kinda comic book superheros came out around then? Not sure if the superhero was created before the comic was created or not. I don't know what country this came from but it was not Japanese or chinese or oriental as far as I know. Maybe American or Canadian

Now, the only thing I remember is that is was not any superhero I have heard of before, none of the typical ones, x-men, fantastic 4, spiderman etc...

Any ideas would be appreciated and if I find comic before then, I'll let you know.

This is more of a topic for my forum, actually...

As for what the comic was...anything more you can tell me? I could probably rattle off a few dozen titles or characters from the 70s (Marvel's Eternals, and DC's Demon come right to mind). Any description of the character or cover? An issue number would help quite a bit as well.

ok... I dont think is was a Marvel or DC, but idk. I think the cover had the superhero in a typical "taking off" pose sort of like this, but not exactly:

think he wore a cape, but I can't be certian. I know the cover looked different than usual ones, as it had purpleish colors and a kinda rainbow of colors in background behind the superhero.

I think the cover had more of a cardboard like feel rather than typical comic feel. And the issue was number 1, the first issue of whatever this superhero comic was. Oh and nearly 100% sure the superhero was a mucley male.

might have worn red mask (like batmans, but no points on it) and red cape and blue everything else like superman, but don't count me on that one, its been a few months since I saw it. Might have worn no mask and had a white suit bit like supermans. I'll go have a look for it tomorrow. Its either in my house somewhere or I left it at my grans

You know, I think it might've been the Destructor. Does this look familiar?

Atlas Comics puked out a ton of not-too-great superhero titles in the mid-70s, so it might've been one of their books.

It may have been that, but I think the comic was a litle earlier than 1975, The comic might have been from either 1971 or 73 or around though and I am nearly sure I remember it having a bit of pinkish/purple in the background of the cover. Know where I can find a list of superheros around in the 1970s?

edit: I found this, I think the comic was made from the same paper or similarly to this rocky and bullwinkle book, which I have, don't hold me to that one either. If you know what this book feels like and what the pages were made like:

I agree, and after giving it some thought I decided that I would move it here. Hopefully the GrnMarvl's Comics Corner's community might be able to help Shinx3000 find the comic that he is looking for. :)

thanks, still have not found the comic, so still searching for me
