Fire Emblem: Awakening

So, I've noticed some people here are playing this game, and I am as well, so let's talk about it! Anything to do with the game goes here. :3

I've loved FE ever since I first played Path of Radiance for the Gamecube, and Awakening, imo is one of the best games EVER! It takes a lot of the great ideas from past FE titles and puts them all into one great game! I also really like the story and a lot of the characters. The only one I don't like so far is Sumia (she just annoys the crap out of me and is totally stupid. It doesn't help that she has unnecessarily limited supports either. >.>). Anyway, this game also gives you a customizable character of your own called the Avatar. You can choose this character's gender, hair style and hair color, and a few other things. They're the tactician of the game. The game also has a marriage system, meaning several of the characters can be married, letting you unlock children characters later.

My favorite character is Frederick by far! He's just so lovable, imo. His character is hilariously awesome, his class and design is awesome, and he's hot. <3 I had my Avatar marry him (since I'm a girl, my Avatar is a girl too lol), though I had decided this long before I grew so fond of Freddy. XD It was when I played the demo. Frederick doesn't trust the Avatar as quickly as the others when they first meet, and I thought it would be really cool and interesting if he ended up being the one to fall for the female and win her heart. Later, I heard she calls him "Freddy Bear" and that totally sealed the deal for me. lol And she does too! That name is just TOO adorable, especially for a guy like Frederick, if you ask me. <3 And I just loved their support overall, though admittedly, it could've been even better. lol

As for my Avatar herself, her name is Kelli and this meme I did shows what she looks like, though my phone camera made her hair look a little bluer than it really is. Her asset is strength and her flaw is defense. I kept her a Tactician/Grandmaster (the reclass system is in this game too).

I also have ChromxOlivia, GaiusxMaribelle, Lon'quxCherche, and soon DonnelxLissa. I've also been working on StahlxCordelia. Haven't started on any other pairs yet, but I will eventually.

This soooo much, I couldn't have put it in better words myself! Considering the fact I was obsessed, and still am.

It's the best game on the 3DS right now in my eyes. Completely blew me away.

Pokemon X better bring it if it wants to take my GOTY away from FE:A.

The cutscenes are magnificent aren't they? That alone is why I bought the game to be honest, because I was stunned. And FE:A is actually my first game from the series, and it succeed magnificently in making me a fan of the series. xD

If your Avatar also married Frederick, you must like him too! Yay! Frederick became one of my favorite FE characters ever (along with Ike, who's my favorite of all, Kieran, Boyd, Ranulf, Sain, and Elincia). <3

Lon'qu is cool, I agree. ^^ But Tharja creeps me the hell out and I have no idea what Miriel says half the time. xP

As for my Avatar's skills, I know Ignis is one of them, but I don't remember the others atm.

Okay, now I know my Avatar's other skills. Veteran and Solidarity. Yeah, the ones she starts with or learns by level up. xP I haven't reclassed her or anything, so yeah.

Also, just got Brady. That paralogue was tough.

Eheh I had fun re-classing mine a ton. xD And Brady's paralogue is tough, though I think the hardest one for me so far was Inigo's because of the armored units.

I haven't reclassed anyone yet lol. I did use a Second Seal on Frederick to send him back to lv. 1 Great Knight though. That guy's got more potential!

Also got Gerome. His paralogue was tough too. xP I also got Frederick to get +2 HP on a level up! Yay!

My Wifi can't seem to connect so it's kind of dumbed down the fun in this game. It's pretty good though, I guess. No huge learning curve, tons of hot females like Lissa, Anna and Lucina. It seems kind of cliche sometimes with the Terminator-like theme of time traveling to prevent the apocalypse but eh it's a T rated game

I got this game two days ago and it's pretty good. It's my first Fire Emblem game and if I had to ship any characters so far it'd be Chrom x Sumia.

Well, Chrom/Sumia is the closest to "canon" of all the characters.

Although based on the extra scenes after Chapter 21(?) I'd say that Chrom/Avatar-F and Avatar-M/Lucina are canon too.

I hate FrederickxSumia. Mainly because I hate Sumia and love Frederick. Frederick deserves way better than her, imo. I also hate FrederickxLissa because it's just plain creepy to me. Lissa looks way too young for him.

Man I'm loving this game, it's also my first Fire Emblem game and I'm not disappointed. I haven't paired many units yet, in fact I've only paired Chrom/Sully together and I'm working on pairing my unit with Henry.

Although I'm not sure who to pair Lon'qu, Panne, Lissa, Virion, Gaius and Libra up with though...

And speaking of Henry, I just love that little nutter, nearly everything he says is solid gold. He's easily my favourite character by far. Does anyone else here love him as well? I could just gush about him all day. <3

I got this game last week, and I've been loving it. After the very disappointing Shadow Dragon, I had feared they had loss the ability to make a great Fire Emblem game, but not only does it have all my favourite elements from each game, it's polished each of them to finest degree. There are so many great characters, but my favourites (That come to mind at the moment) are the Avatar, (Naturally) Chrom, Donnel, Henry, Nowi,

and pretty much all the second generation characters, especially Morgan.

Oh, and Kellam.

Though I do have two complaints. I first played through the game on Classic mode on Hard difficulty, which was just about the right difficulty, IMO, aside from the annoying reinforcements appearing at the end of the player's turn, giving you no time to prepare. It can turn the game into trial-and-error in certain places, which I don't think is right for a strategy game.

My other complaint? Lunatic difficulty is too hard! I'm playing through it on Newcomer mode now, and even though I'm enjoying it, it doesn't feel right. If I was playing it on Classic mode, I would have lost every single character by now. Frederick is a cool character and all, but having to complete rely on him for the early stages of the game goes against everything the other games taught me.

I don't like ChromxSumia. I married Chrom in my first file and Lon'qu in my second. I'm playing through my second file trying to max out everyone's stats and get really nice skills!
