I...I...I'm appalled. Maybe I'm just being negative, but that is, quite possibly, the single worst thing I've ever seen. Between the crappy animation style, stealing from the Iron Man movie AND Spider-Man 2, and the fact that the trailer explains NOTHING except for how Howard dies...I don't know what I hate more. I, literally, could not find ONE good thing about this. Yes, it's just a trailer, but usually I can find SOME glimmer of hope. Here...nothing.

But maybe I'm just being overly negative. Maybe I expect too much.

Well, it may be bad, but it could be worse. remember the 92 version? It used to many uglily designed villains and heroes.Even the suit came from a square like thing and was had useless CGI in it. At kleast the Mandarin stats out with 1 ring not 10. So think of it like this it COULD be shittier.

Actually, the 90s one wasn't that bad. The suitcase thing is fairly similar to what the comic uses now (and I'm fairly certain it was used in the comics at the time), and the CGI was largely just left for him armoring up, to enhance the tech-iness.

And all the of the heroes and villains were EXACTLY like they were in the comics at the time.

How is THAT better? The entire point of him being a threat is that he has all ten. With one, he's no better than any random villain. Hell, he's WORSE than some.

And putting him in armor? That's just...bad. And completely goes against his entire M.O. It would be like Magneto wanting to kill mutants. Or Doom wanting to help the Fantastic Four while refusing to become ruler of Latveria. Or Norman Osborn having a steady job that isn't part of some grand scheme. Or the Red Skull not being a Nazi.

Ironic you guys mentioned the 90s cartoon. I watched it yesterday for the first time ever. I never even knew there was one until I saw it one the guide. XD;

Yeah, this preview wasn't very interesting. Hopefully the show will be better.

...So it's Iron Man version .5 (meaning it probably should be called Iron Lad, as wrong as that is) and Tony's done by Brad Swaile. I hate it on that last point alone. If they're going to reinvent classic icons to pre-teen/just barely an adolescent status, they might as well kick themselves in the balls and start showing us actual teenage heros that just don't get enough cred as is.

...Why no, New X-Men cartoon never crossed my mind~ :D

And Mandarin looking for 'the ring' and looking like pre-eye!Sauron is so not property infringment.

Can't be called Iron Lad. That's a different character. :p

Iron Lad. Seems like most comic fans know who he is, and most non-comic fans have no clue. Makes sense, considering his limited appearances.

Though, really, Iron Lad would have made a more interesting character for a series than a teen Iron Man. Hell, no one liked a teen Iron Man in comic form. Why would that change in animated form?

To me, he looks like a number of characters. Iron Monger and Shredder come most readily to mind.

Iron Man's not like Spider-Man, who actually STARTED as a teenager. Iron Man's whole existence doesn't make sense if he's a teenager. I mean, the whole point behind Spider-Man's webshooters being organic in the movies was that kids wouldn't connect if he was super-smart. So it's okay if a kid can create an entire super-advanced suit...but not if he can whip up a pair of chemical shooters?

And as Ianto Jones pointed out, there are SO MANY GOOD teen heroes, or heroes who started their careers in their teens. Hell, Nova's LONG past due for some acknowledgement. You can even call him Kid Nova if it helps.

Don't like the animation style, don't like the de-aging (which goes completely against the movie, which will confuse the hell out of the kids they're airing this for), don't like the Mandarin design, and I miss the awesome guitar riff of the 90's series. (I AM IRON MAN!)

Which is why I said 'as wrong as that is'. ^^; I know who Iron Lad is. Wouldn't have had Cassie/Vision drama without him.

I suppose the only problem with taking establish kiddie/teen groups is that they would be 'new' to the kids they'd be mareketed to, and mostly unrecognized as comic characters and not as iconic to watch. I personally wouldn't mind something involving the Power Pack (despite not being a follower, but being a Franklin Richards fangirl, any excuse for him to be in anything is my game). Except it would never happen, because what chance would it stand against a pitch for, say, the Avengers. Kiddified Avengers, because the Young Avengers aren't good enough, and they aready did the Spawn-Of plot...unless it's a conspiracy ploy to launch an Avengers Next cartoon series.

Either way, this Iron Man cartoon will most likely go the way of the new FF cartoon and most other recent CG cartoons.

....*cough* Sorry.

See, I've always thought that Power Pack would make for a GREAT cartoon for little kids (I'm talking early-elementary). Sort of like Krypto, only...better (too many talking dogs).

Keep in mind what actually happens in the Young Avengers books. Not...exactly kid stuff. More teen stuff. Though, instead of creating random young Avengers, why not do something with the New X-Men, or New Mutants?

Unless the next trailer/preview shows something more substantial...I hope you're right.

That the same animation style for Skyland, I kinda like cel shades animation.
