Then may I suggest throwing your hat into this. And this is just the negotiation fee.

To give you the idea of how much this money is in baseball, the Detroit Tigers have an annual payroll of about 84 million dollars for EVERYBODY. Needless to say the only competition were the other two teams that have more money than God namely the New York Yankees and Mets.

Bean Town apparently really wants to win if they willing to bring out that kind of cash just to negotiate.

Seriously, there need to be some big salary caps. This is why I don't like pro sports so much; the insane salaries and payrolls of some teams and the constant trading like slaves of players.

5 billions is atleast in the thousands in the US.
 
Five Billion Yen is about as much as Boston payed. 100 yen = 1 America Dollar give or take. 5 Billion = 50 Million
