Here's my new story. I like to thank Legacy for giving me the ideas to do this fic.
The fic is about five kids who get picked by legendary Pokemon to hold a special kind of power, with this power the kids and their Pokemon are supposed to fight against an evil force that's soon to rise and defeat it.
“Let me out!” a loud scream could heard all throughout the dark cave, as drips of water fell down the roof and hit the floor, the only thing that broke the silence was the horrible screams of what seemed to be a grave monster. Roars could be heard as Pokémon were running away from whatever was deep inside the cave. One brave Chikorita separated itself from the group as it started walking over to the deep end.
“Chiko…” it murmured before gasping at what its eyes were seeing. Right in front of him was big pitch black hole, which seemed to have no end, in the middle of it there was a small island of ground with what looked like a giant cage over it, the cage itself was a giant black box tied around with chains that connected to the wall of the cave. Chikorita took a step back once the cage started to move and stomp on the ground.
“You.” a voiced hissed out from the cage as the Chikorita’s petrified look just got even scarier, it tried moving back but its body was just stuck in place. It could feel the hatred and rage that was in that voice, and obviously could feel what would happen if he didn’t move as fast as possible. “Don’t go you vermin!” the voice exclaimed as a black claw made out of energy came out of the cage and grabbed the Chikorita. ”I can use a little lunch.” The voice chuckled as Chikorita felt its body beginning to lose energy. In a matter of seconds the Chikorita’s body was getting thinner and weaker so much it started to resemble an old Chikorita and in less than a minute, it was gone.
“Pokémon this day are so foolish,” he chuckled as the cage started to rattle once more, this time with even more intensity as if it was about to break. “That did the trick, now I can get out of this piece of crap!” it yelled as the cage practically blew up causing the chains to break and the whole cave to give in. ”Yes, I’m free, finally I’m free!!” its laughter could be heard as the cave finally crumbled completely.
Soon the whole mountain started to crumble, scaring all the Pokémon that were around the area as they tried their best to flee from the place, in the end most of the Pokémon and humans that were around were buried in the rubble as a dark sphere came out from the place the cave used to be. “Now, to cause some fun.” It chuckled before flying away from the place.
“He’s out of his chains.” There were seven pillars creating a circle alignment with each other, it seemed to be another dimension since it was all white and empty, there was a golden circle in the middle and there it stood a giant Pokémon, a red bird like Pokémon with a golden stream of hair and golden wings, it had a long beak along with a white chest and red feathers, it resembled a phoenix through most of it. “If we don’t stop him before he finds a host it might be too late.” The Ho-Oh spoke as seven silhouettes appeared from the other pillars.
“And what exactly do you plan we do Ho-Oh.” A rough voice was heard coming from one of the pillars, a giant red dinosaur like Pokémon composed of a red armor with a black chest, big dinosaur claws and a long claw like tail, with markings around its body appeared. “You think we don’t know this is grave, but there’s really not much we can do,” the Groudon said as it glared down at Ho-Oh.
“No, there is something we can do,” Groudon turned to the panel of the far right where there was a blue swam like Pokémon floating over, purple rings surrounded its beautiful body, it had a crescent moon shaped head and a blue with a purple jewel on the center of its head. “We could use that.” Cresselia suggested getting the other Pokémon to gasp.
“You don’t seriously mean to trust humans with that power again do you, it’ll be nuts!” Groudon exclaimed almost roaring when he heard Cresselia’s idea. “It’s really dangerous, humans aren’t as good as they used to be!”
“It is actually a good idea,” the pillar that was in the center lit up as an omnipotent presence appeared, a white horse like Pokémon floated there, it had a white body with four legs, a long white neck and at the edge it had a pair of green with red eyes, it also had a golden ring around its body. “It wouldn’t be bad to put humanity to the test.” Arceus suggested.
“Sir, but…” Groudon just stood back, not wanting to get Arceus mad at him.
“Plus it’s really the only way,” another Pokémon appeared, a dragon like Pokémon that stood in four legs, he had a blue and gray metallic armor around his whole body, a long neck and a short tail on its back. “I Dialga agree with Cresselia thoroughly.”
“So, Dialga, Cresselia and I are agreed,” Arceus nodded his head as he looked down at Ho-Oh. “We’ll unseal the five elements.”
“I’m please to hear so sir,” Ho-Oh bowed down his head as the ring he was standing on started shining, five different color balls appeared from the ring and surrounded Ho-Oh, each one letting out their own power and strength, which meant they were just that powerful inside. “I shall find the proper candidates to hold them.”
“See to it,” Arceus ordered as the five balls went inside Ho-Oh. Then Ho-Oh spread its wings before he disappeared from the circle. “I hope we can solve this problem before it is too late.” Arceus nodded his head solemnly.
“But I wonder, will he really find humans that are pure of heart?’ Cresselia asked herself staring at the spot where Ho-Oh used to be.
Cheers could be heard all throughout Viridian City as the sound of battle came from the stadium that had just been opened a few years back. Everyone was piling up to try and enter and see the battle. “Looks like people are really fighting this time right,” a boy chuckled as he looked from afar standing in front of a light post, he was wearing a white sleeveless jacket with a long sleeve red shirt under it; he also had a pair of white pants and was wearing a red hat with a pair of goggles. “Viridian Stadium has gotten really full lately,” he looked down to see the salamander like Pokémon staring at the stadium with an impressed look, it had a flame on the tip of its tail. “Hey Charmander, snap out of it!” he yelled getting the Charmander to jump.
“Don’t worry, we’ll be there one day, I promise,” the boy clenched his fist in confidence as he looked at the stadium with a confident glance. This was Jack Blitz, a trainer from Viridian City. Jack wishes to be one of the best Pokémon Masters in the world; unfortunately he just started a couple years back but his current situation doesn’t allow him to leave his family. ‘Let’s go, mom and Shinka must be worried,” he said as he grabbed a grocery bag that was next to him.
Jack is fifteen years old, he’s been wishing to go out on his own journey for a long time, but he lives alone with his mom and his little sister who’s often ill and in a wheelchair. The only Pokémon he has it’s his Charmander who doesn’t really fit the usual description since it’s mostly zoning out of place a most of the time. Jack started walking around Viridian Park, which honestly was pretty scary at night, the only thing that kept it lit were the light posts that were standing all around it. “Tomorrow we’ll take the test to enter the new Pokémon Mini League, that’ll be a way to start off.”
The Mini Pokémon League is a new Pokémon tournament that was just announced, any trainer that has less than three Pokémon can enter, it’s basically a tournament for beginners to try their strength. The winner of the tournament would get a badge from any Kanto gym which will allow them to start out from that point on; not just that but the winner guess a price money, which gives Jack not only a way to start but enough money to give his family so that he can leave on his journey without a care. “We’ll win, I know it,” Jack nodded his head.
“I’m home,” Jack called out after getting inside the apartment he and his family lived in, he walked over to the kitchen and put the grocery bag in the counter. He heard the sound of wheels spinning as he turned to his left with a smile. His sister was going towards him, she had a long brown hair that hid her forehead, she was wearing a pink dress and had a pair of calm blue eyes, she was also sitting on a black wheelchair.
“Big brother your home,” she smiled eagerly and stopped in front of his brother; Jack kneeled down and hugged her softly as to not hurt her. “Hi Charmander,” Charmander just waved while smiling. “Mom’s in her room, she’s going out tonight.”
“Oh right, that,” Jack frowned, even though his mom spent most of the time working and taking care of him and Shinka, she sometimes went out on dates with guys; granted she hasn’t had a boyfriend in years but that doesn’t stop Jack from getting bothered. “I told her to tell me the next time she did it, anyways, I guess it’s my turn to make dinner.”
“Or, I could do it,” Shinka giggled as she started to go over to the kitchen.
“Oh no, I don’t need another kitchen mess,” Jack laughed as he followed his sister into the kitchen. “I’ll do it, you go and watch TV with Charmander, but put him in his basket.” Jacke advised as he put on an apron, because of Charmander’s tail he had made a basket and put three inflammable blankets in it for Charmander to sleep in, course Charmander spend time in its pokeball but Jack allowed it to stay out so that it would be like another member of the family.
“Hey brother, tomorrow’s the tournament right?” his sister asked from the living room as she turned the TV on. “If you win, you’ll be one step closer to being the best, right?” she asked turning to look at Jack who was getting some eggs out of the fridge.
“Yeah, that’s right, and once that happens,” he put the eggs down on the counter. “I’ll have enough money to get you and mom someone to do the housework, heck I might even buy a brand new house for all of us,” he smiled; in his mind he really wished it was as easy as that, he trained a lot with Charmander but he wasn’t too confident about winning the tournament.
“Do you promise?” Shinka asked looking at Jack with a look of happiness, sometimes Jack just couldn’t understand how his sister was so happy all the time, how she managed to keep herself forward, she was in a worst situation than him but was doing well against it.
“I swear,” Jack nodded his head. “It’s a promise between siblings.”

“I need more inspiration in this Eevee, help me out,” a girl said while she was typing on her laptop, she was leaning back on her chair as she stretched her body; she was wearing a purplish pink shirt with a white mini skirt; she had a long blond hair that went down to her waist and a pair of green eyes. “I can’t seem to find something to write about,” he grabbed a cookie and started eating turning around to look at the Eevee that was sleeping over a cushion nearby.
“You always sleep Eevee, come on,” she walked over and grabbed the pup Pokémon as it opened its eyes rather cutely and smiled at the girl. ‘Okay, you’re cute I admit that, but you need to help me out,” she frowned and put the Eevee down turning to look at the room it was more of a little library with two bookshelves on each side and a desk in the middle with the laptop she was using. “Dad’s gonna be home soon, I better make dinner,” she ran out of the office and towards the kitchen.
“Goldenrod City is really noisy,” she looked out the window as cars were passing by like there was no tomorrow, people talking, and construction sounds all the things that would make a writer go out of focus. “Seriously, how can dad actually work with all of this,” she sighed and slammed the windows shut then turned to the kitchen. “It’s becoming a real bother.”
Ashley Kinsley, a very optimistic young girl of fifteen. Ashley leaves alone with her dad Roger and her Eevee in Goldenrod City Johto. She’s a normal girl, mostly although she tends to spend most of her time focusing on her writing. You see her dream is to become a great writer just like his dad who normally travels around the world to try and find inspiration; but even though he knows Ashley wants to be like him he doesn’t take her along.
Ashley’s mom died giving birth to her and from them on she and her dad lived alone, she never actually had any liking to starting her own journey either; always saying writing was her only dream, which is why her Eevee is mostly just a house pet, or at least that’s what people say but to her it’s her own partner.
Ashley sighed. Then the phone rang and she immediately ran over to get it, since it was probably her dad. ‘Dad your back, do you want me to go to the station?’ she asked once she answered.
“Actually, there’s been a little problem, I’m going to be out for two more days dear,” his dad said through the phone, Ashley just looked down at the floor. “I promise I’ll make it up.”
“Yeah, sure, don’t worry about it,” she said rather dryly, a feeling of despair washing over her as she hung up. Her dad had been out a lot lately, so much she barely saw him anymore; and every time it seemed like he will be back he always said he’ll take longer. “I guess I can’t blame him, but it’ll be good if he’ll at least take me with him,” she turned to look at Eevee. “But hey, I can’t get sad about that right,” she chuckled while wiping off a tear from her eyes.
A few minutes later Ashley was in a small diner that was close to her apartment, she figured she’ll just go out and eat. She was looking out the windows staring at the cars that were going by as the rain fell on Goldenrod. “What a bummer,” she sighed and leaned back on the chair she was on. “Now I have to stay in here till it stops raining.”
“Tomorrow the first Mini League tournament will take place in Viridian City in Kanto, a lot of people from all regions will be there to compete.” The announcer on the TV explained as the screen showed the Viridian Stadium.
“I myself think it’s a good chance for the new trainers to show their skills and prove their worth,” a female news caster said as the screen turned to her. “It’s really inspiring.”
“Inspiring,” Ashley’s attention was fully turned on the TV now as she looked at the news; going to Viridian to see the tournament was probably the best chance she could find at finding something to write about. “That’s right, with this I’ll finally be able to cook up a master piece.” She nodded after getting up from her seat.
“You really think that’ll work?” Ashley turned around to look at a girl that was looking at her, the girl was wearing a pair of glasses, she had a pink top and a pair of blue shorts, her black hair was done in two pig tails and she had a pair of Butterfree earrings.
“Cindy, what are you doing here?” Ashley asked with a frown on her face. Cindy was one of her classmates and a mean one at that, she and Ashley had the same goal although the way they pursued it was different. While Ashley wanted to write stories about true life, and nature, Cindy only wrote things that were overly dramatic, and what was worst is that people actually liked what she wrote. “You can’t really expect to get anything worthwhile from it.”
“Oh shut up you, better than your melodramas honestly,” Ashley just inflated her cheeks and turned away from her.
“Yes, but it’s too sad you’re so dedicated that you have no life,” Cindy chuckled getting Ashley to glare at her out of sheer anger. “Do what you want, but I’m telling you it won’t help you out,” she just turned around and walked off. “I may not be so dedicated but at least what I write works for people,”
“What you write it’s a disgrace to writing,” Ashley exclaimed but Cindy was already gone. “Damn her for that,” she grunted and sat back down.
“I need to get to Viridian by tomorrow; I better go pack up and get myself a ticket to Viridian ASAP.” She got up from her seat and started running out, not caring about the fact that it was still raining.

“Finally home,” a woman said as she walked into her apartment, she had a spongy brown hair and was wearing a black dress, by the way she was moving it seemed like she was drunk. “The kids must be sleeping though,” she turned on a light and was surprised to see Jack sitting on the couch.
“Didn’t you say you’ll never do it again,” Jack looked at her with a frown as he got up from the couch and walked over to help his mom. “You’re lucky I managed to get Shinka to go to bed early,” he said and started leading her to her room. “Can’t you be a little less selfish?”
“Jack, maybe I’m not, maybe I want you guys to have a better life,” his mom argued looking over at her son.
“I told you I’ll take care of that, tomorrow’s the tournament and well, I’m not losing,” Jack told her with a confident look on his face. “Once I win things will change, I swear.”
“Really and exactly how sure are you that you’re going to win?” his mom asked; it’s not that she didn’t’ believe in his son, but Jack didn’t really have that much skill at battling. “What if you don’t win?”
“I will, I promise,” Jack opened the door to her room and she walked over to her bed. “I trained a lot lately, there’s no way I’ll lose,” he nodded his head and got out of the room.

Meanwhile Ashley was sleeping in the train, after getting back to her house she had time to pack her stuff and get a ticket that would take her straight to Viridian. She was wearing a purple jacket along with a purple hat on her head. “Huh…” she opened her eyes to see a raindrop fall on the window. “Oh no, don’t tell me it’s gonna rain now,” she whined.
“It’s a real bummer,” Ashley looked up getting her face wet as it started raining, she got under a small roof so that the water wouldn’t reach her. “If it doesn’t stop they might cancel the mini league, I came here for nothing,” Ashley sighed.
Eevee got out of its pokeball as it looked at its trainer; after spending the whole night confident she was back to just trying to stay positive. “Well, I guess there’s not much to do, if it doesn’t stop soon I might as well go back to Goldenrod,” Ashley sighed.
Suddenly a strong gust of wind came forward as Ashley’s hat was blown away by the wind and started flying away. “Oh no, comeback!” she yelled and started chasing after the hat to try and catch it before it got farer away.
“Damn it, it just had to rain,” Jack frowned as he ruffled his hair so that he could dry it; he had taken his hat off. After getting up early to go train it started raining while he was training, he had to return Charmander to its pokeball and find somewhere where he could dry off, and the closest place was the train station. “I really hope they don’t cancel the tournament today.” He sighed.
“Hey come back,” Jack turned around as a purple hat hit his face making him move back a bit. “Thanks for that,” he took the hat off to see Ashley gasping to grab her breath.
“No worries, here,” Jack said while giving her the hat back. “You should be careful, there’s a lot of wind lately.”
“Thanks for that,” Ashley said noticing Jack was wearing a pokeball pin, the pin that was assigned to those that competed in the tournament. “Wait, are you a participant in the Pokémon Mini League?” she asked.
“Yep, I’m Jack Blitz, why?” he asked rather curiously.
“I’m Ashley Finley, and I came here to watch the tournament,” Ashley introduced herself while nodding her head, not believing her luck that she’ll meet one of the participants herself.
“Nice to meet you,” Jack nodded his head. Then the rain stopped and the clouds floated away. “Well, ain’t that lucky, I guess the tournament’s on after all,” he laughed as he and Ashley looked at the now bright sun.
Meanwhile flying in the sky was Ho-Oh as he looked down at Jack and Ashley with an approving smile.
