Formal proposal to form partnership with StrategyWiki

Hello again. I spoke with the StrategyWiki's leader, Echelon, and he is very much in favor of forming a partnership with Bulbapedia. Therefore, I would like formally propose a partnership based on the following terms. If you agree with them, the partnership can begin immediately. If you have any concerns, please feel free to voice them here.

I) StrategyWiki and Bulbapedia will form a mutually beneficial relationship and partnership with one another.
II) Every time that a Pokemon's name is mentioned on StrategyWiki, it will be hyperlinked to the appropriate Pokemon's page on Bulbapedia.
III) Every time that a particular Pokemon video game is mentioned on Bulbapedia, it will be hyperlinked to the appropriate game's page on StrategyWiki.
IV) This partnership can be broken off any time by any party for any particular reason.

Additionally, StrategyWiki recognizes that it is incumbent upon them to begin a build up of Pokemon related walkthroughs and strategies in order to provide mutually beneficial content to both members of the partnership.

If the terms of this partnership are agreeable to the staff of Bulbapedia, an announcement will appear on StrategyWiki's main page to announce the partnership. StrategyWiki would like, but does not require, that Bulbapedia do the same. We would also be happy to assist any of your authors who would like to contribute to StrategyWiki, and help with the formation of the greatest Wiki walkthrough content for Pokemon games, as well as any other game they express an interest in.

Item 3 is unacceptable as is. We would modify it to read, "Where possible, an article will have a link (large format, something like [bp=Template:Archives]this[/bp]) to the corresponding article in StrategyWiki."

I understand. Your ammendment sounds reasonable. I will double check with Echelon for final approval and get back to you as soon as possible.

I concur with Zhen Lin. As we are an encyclopedia, it is reasonable to expect that we would have pages describing the features and data of the games themselves.

Perhaps we could set up some sort of redirect when people search Bulbapedia for "walkthrough"?

I'm very sorry for the delay in my response. I've only just found time to take care of recreational issues. You're revision is fine with us. In fact, we would be happy to make the same alterations that Zhen Lin is suggesting to our game guides and have them point back to you as well. We also would like to ammend point II to read:

II) The first time that a Pokemon is mentioned on a page, it will be followed by a link to the proper pokedex entry on bulbapedia, along with the bulbapedia bulbasaur flower icon to indicate the off-site reference.

This is as opposed to every single mention of a pokemon all over our site where ever they occur, which could create a bit of a headache making sure that all authors complied with the agreement. We have actually already begun to implement the above concept on our site.

Could I please get an update on the situation with this? I believe it's got a little lost in all the hustle and bustle of the Diamond and Pearl launch, but I had hoped that this partnership would go somewhere.

It seems it has. StrategyWiki links were added to appropriate game pages and, when investigating said wiki on my own, I noted the Bulbapedia bulb sprinkled all over their Pokémon articles.
