Fort Wayne, Ind., cancels TCG tournament: Snow storm causes road difficulties

The Fort Wayne, Ind., Pokémon Trading Card Game City Championships tournament scheduled to be held today was canceled due to a winter storm expected to bring 3-4 inches of snow to the city by the day's end.

Or manga news.

This is more news than the one we got a bit ago about some con or another having a tournament, considering pretty much every single anime con that has a CCG room has a Pokemon tournament.

Although as someone who used to live in South Bend, I have to point at Fort Wayne and laugh in the style of Nelson Muntz. And if your city is getting picked on by South Bend, you KNOW you're pathetic (although their zoo is awesomer than ours).

The reason I posted this was because it landed in my inbox. It's local news and is marked as such on Bulbanews. If people would point me in the direction of TCG or manga news, then I would be very glad to post it.

And I say this every time, but people complaining about a lack of such-and-such news who are already in the know should post it themselves (or at least e-mail it to me) instead of whining about it. It's very frustrating for me because I only have so much time to devote to this, and I can't spend my entire day combing every Pokémon site on the Internet.

EDIT: Oh, and we've covered the cancellation of Pokémon events in Japan, and no one seemed to whine then, and that honestly affects fewer people who read Bulbanews than this does.

So yes, local Pokémon stories are indeed newsworthy, it is the Community Pokémon Newspaper after all. The reason we do not see more local stories, Manga or TCG-related news, etc, is because no one reports it. As with the Bulbapedia, if you would like to see something covered on Bulbanews, you can create an account and submit an article.

EDIT: Beaten by Argy.

Well the staff at bulbawiki are obviously not doing their job properly if they only report news specific to two fucking countries.

Dude, I report manga news all the time. I sent Argy the link about the rerelease of Special, or how about how DPA! 3 is coming out next month? But none of it ever goes up.

Didn't you read what Argy wrote?
Everyone can submit news. Do so and stop complaining.

Blackjack, the last time you send me a PM about anything to do with Bulbanews was Feburary 2008. I don't think that counts as "all the time."

In any case, Blackjack, as we have told everyone else, no one is stopping you from posting it yourself. You're a writer, so I don't see why you would have any trouble.

I make sure I do my paid, real-life job properly, then I do Bulbanews work for free in what little spare time I have.

I write fiction. There's a big difference. I've made it abundantly clear that I have no idea what goes into writing an article like this.

And you must not have gotten it then because I know I sent you the link.

It's really not that hard. Just summarize the news, or if you really want you can look at other articles and copy their structure. I can edit it so it's in the right style. It doesn't have to be anywhere near perfect.
