The Bulbagarden forums will be closed for a period of several hours this Wednesday, January the 18th, to allow for the forums to be upgraded to vBulletin version 4.1.10.

Not co-incidentally, January the 18th is also the day that many sites around the world will be having a Blackout to protest against the SOPA and PIPA legislation currently being debated by the US House of Representatives and Senate. ;) If you'd like to discuss this legislation here on the Bulbagarden forums, here's the thread to do so.

I think I'll be spending Wednesday curled up in the fetal position, not knowing what to do with myself without Bulbagarden.

Didn't they reject sopa already though? Think I read that on Reddit.

But now with reddit, bmgf, and who knows what other sites down, I guess I'll just have to spend the day off-line. Ah well, I still have my 3DS.

Well, I'll have some great fun tomorrow after come home from school without being able to relax on the internet.

Plus, if this whole problem is just the US's problem, then why do non-Americans like me have to deal with it?

YouTube and Facebook aren't going down.They've threatened it, but they aren't going down tomorrow.

Does this mean I will have to go through the re-login dance again? I'm always logged in so I can never be bothered to remember my password. >.>
 
Well....this is bitter sweet. Im glad we are joining the blackout but its just when I come back from my little "vacation". Oh well, Skyrim it is.
