With our move today to Xenforo 2.3.10, there's been some fairly major backend changes to our styles.
TLDR; Some things are a bit broken, but we're working on it.

As just a brief list of some of the things involved here:
  • Many addons we used in Xenforo 2.2 are no longer compatible with Xenforo 2.3. This means several elements of our style that relied on addons need to be rebuilt from scratch.
  • Changed templates, either in Xenforo 2.3 itself or in the latest versions of our various addons, have upended areas of the forums where we previously had customized templates. These areas also need to be redone from scratch, in order to actually function with the changed backend.
  • A number of Xenforo style properties that controlled multiple elements have been split out in Xenforo 2.3 into multiple separate properties, with the new style properties each controlling a smaller number of individual elements. These new style properties when created did not automatically inhert the values we'd set for the old style property, so we need to manually go and set each of these one by one.
While we've been working on converting styles over to Xenforo 2.3 for quite some time, some of these changes were also relatively recent, such as with new versions of addons only released in the past couple of months. Between my moving overseas, the 30th anniversary, and the releases of Pokopia and Pokémon Champions, we just haven't been able to resolve all of the issues as of yet.

In the next week or so after this post goes up, we'll be reactivating skins as we think we've gotten them to the point of being usable. I'll also be keeping this post updated with the list of skins that we've restored. There will undoubtably be various little niggling minor issues though, places where the colours aren't exactly right, or where the template looks a little funny. So here's where you come in. We'd greatly appreciate it if you could post up in this thread with the various issues you find, ideally with screenshots, so that we can prioritize the issues impacting on you most.

Known Issues:
  • The list of news stories on the front page needs fixing to display the attribution section below the article image instead of on top of it (we've already got code working to display the article titles correctly, but putting that in currently makes the titles go over the attribution)

Hi, I'm aware that you've got a lot on your plate right now, but I really hope that the next style to be added is a dark mode one. The site is really blinding and uncomfortable to use at the moment to be honest (if there's a way to switch any of the 4 current styles to dark mode I can't find it at all).

on the default style, the lists of different forums have the rounded corner outline in the wrong place when there's two columns in the section.

and on defender of lumiose, it seems like the color that's used for links is inconsistent? like, @'s and a small handful of links show up as green, but the majority of links are the same color as regular body text.

in the above, the usernames and typhlosion's name are links, but they're white instead of green.

(also, although this isn't directly style-related, for the sake of not making multiple posts - are all attached images getting converted to .webp files? i noticed a drop in quality when i uploaded these screenshots)

Resolving this!

All images are currently getting converted to .webp, yes. I'll see if there's anything we can do to prevent quality loss on conversion.

I had a picture (a gif) in my signature but it's not visible anymore. Is it because of the update?
the feature they used for signature pictures is now a paid add-on in this version of xenforo, apparently, so it's unavailable now. you can still add urls to images to replace it

Yes. The addon we used for that was a free addon on 2.2.x, but the version for 2.3.x is paid. We're still evaluating if we want to restore that or not (though any decision there will only happen after we've quashed all the other issues we're dealing with).

Hopefully Bulbapatch (I think that's what it was called? It was the dark theme for one of the halloweens.) will get migrated at some point, but will use Rainbow Rocket in the meantime.

The various holiday skins, including Bulbagarden Pumpkin Patch, will get patched eventually. They're lower priority than non-seasonal skins right now though.

links in signatures appear to be black like normal text on the default mysterious garden theme; AKA you can't tell they're links until you hover over them
This made me realize this is the case on my end too! Using the dark version of Bulbagarden Classic. Using Celeste's signature as an example: 1778253405276.webp

Hmmm. I'm not seeing these issues on the default Mysterious Garden theme (see image attached below). Unless someone's already been making edits to the skin to fix it? @Sheep, did you already do something here? 1778254327793.webp
