I just saw a commerical for Fox and The Hound 2.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but....didn't the Fox in the old one, "bite the big one", push up daisys, kick the bucket, in other words....die?

Now, unless he was sent to the Shadow Realmz, lolz, or Hound collected the Dragon Balls, why the hell is he alive? Is Disney trying too act like he didn't die in the old one? Has Disney chickened out that much that they pretend like classic movies never existed, and change the storys? Discuss.
 
Actually, I'm pretty sure the fox doesn't die in the end. o_o
 
I've noticed Disney likes to make its shitty sequels about the offspring of the originals' main characters...
 
Actually, I seem to remember the original ending with both of them having families (or was it one weird fox/dog hybrid family?). It was a happy ending, not a snuff film. It's Disney. Shit happens BEFORE the ending.
 
The Fox and the Hound 2 takes place back when the fox and the hound are still kids, I believe. Making it another one of those "midquels" instead of a real sequel.
 
Um...where have YOU been? Main characters don't die in Disney movies. D: Especially not cute foxes. Though I will admit that I was afraid Chief was dead...I was so relieved to find out he only had a bum leg after that nasty fall.

Tod doesn't die. Copper and the Hunter go after him for revenge because he made Ol' Chief jump off the bridge and break his leg. SO anyways, they're enemies and then a bear gets after Copper and the Hunter. They don't stand a chance, and good-hearted Tod remembers their puphood friendship...so he jumps on the bear and fights it to save Copper. The bear really hurts Tod, and the Hunter moves in for the kill and aims his gun, but Copper steps in front of Tod and won't let the Hunter shoot him. Then the hunter and Copper go home, and then Tod and Vixey do the nasty.

If Tod had died, then we wouldn't HAVE a movie. What kind of lesson does that teach kids? Betray your friends?

Anyways, I don't know how the Fox and the Hound will be any good. Because I have the original and just watched it yesterday, I don't see how they're going to go and make Copper join a band without ending up with a lame movie.

But I'm going to buy it anyways, just to see. >.>
 
I may end up renting it, just for the hell of it. I rented Balto 2 and was disappointed, but not that surprised. I know F&H 2 is going to suck, but still, my curiosity gets the better of me.

Chief is a gimp. Ha. I laughed when he was gimpin' around on his gimpy leg.

Gimp.
