So...is there any particular reason why it seems all of a sudden posting a sarcastic response to someone, jokingly saying you don't care for someone, or posting comments on a video earn you a whopping 5 infraction points?

It seems I get infraction points alot more now then I used to, for some pretty minor things.

I mean, I get banned like biweekly for comments I've been making for years without harm. I think I'm even past due for another banning for my "harsh comments"

This isn't targeted at King R. Kool here, but I want to know why it is that people make snide/insulting/stupid comments then complain when they're disciplined in some way. Whatever happened to self-censorship and common sense?

Generally behaving like an asshat will get you infraction points. You were banned recently because you were specifically told not to post in the SOVA thread, yet you did anyway.

I think it's more the fact that I kid because I care, yet the forums slowly seem to becoming so "nice-nice" that any hint of joking cyncism results in harsh punishment. Seriously, I usually don't post maliciously but instead in a teasing way. Getting 1/4 of a ban because you told someone you "didn't care for them" doesn't exactly sound like a malicious insult.

Anyway,How come insulting some members (Scott or Maxim for instance) is perfectly acceptable, I see many people do it (I've admit it I've done it) yet insulting others results in harsher punishment.

I mean, if I told one of them I "didn't much care for them" I highly doubt I would of got the same reaction as when I said that about Blackjack (who I honestly think is the worse poster I've ever met here)

I've added her to my ignore list because quite frankly I'd rather be stuck in a room discussing illegal immigration with Carlos Menecias.

That I admit was fair and my fault completely.

Insulting a mod or admin is basically asking for a ban. Insulting other people is also generally frowned upon. Is that really the best you can do when posting? I mean, seriously: you can't make a valid point without insulting someone? That's pretty pathetic.

I'll just add my two cents here. Maybe you have a legit claim to make about receiving unfair infractions. But it's really not appropriate to make a whole topic of it. People who have nothing to do with the issue(s) of concern should not have to be drawn into this. It's best if you feel that action taken against you was unfair, that you take it up in PM with the Mod that gave you said infraction. Or if you feel you cannot do so out fear of further reprecussions or whatever, that you discuss the issue privately with a different staff member instead.

And on that intelligently written note, I'm closing this before the flames begin rising.
