(Sorry about my inability to spell fricking, or anything for that matter.)
What is your opinion on one time characters? Like 'em, or hate 'em. I personally like them :) Trixie [Love Pokemon Style!], Kanata [Pokeblock, Stock, and Berry!], and Giselle [The School of hard knocks!] as my favorite one time characters by far.

my favourite ones were the evee brothers. I liked a few from johto as well

The one i hated most was that man in johto who could talk to pokemon. That was creepy.

edit: i forgot about lara laramie, i liked her alot too in the ponyta/rapidash episode. Melanie, the one in the bulbasaur village, was cool too.

Some of them are definitely entertaining and those that are should reappear. They have far too many one-time characters and it's probably hard for Ash and Brock to remember every single one of them.

They shouldn't have so many one-time characters. Some are needed, others are worthless. Why can't they make the anime have more personal relationships that evolve throughout? Sinnoh has a start since there are more recurring characters, but we still have far too many filler episodes... and filler characters.

There is always going to be one-episode characters. The group is constantly traveling, different towns have different people.

Some of course are more memorable than others, but that's to be expected. I do like how DP has more recurring characters though.

SEYMOUR. SSSEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYMMMMMMMMMMMOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRR.

HE SPOKE IN MOTHERFUCKING RHYMES.

Anyway, they do, on occasion, provide comic relief, or even storyline advancement. I personly like them; One-shot characters show that the Pokemon world has a number of people in it.

The only one I really couldn't stand was Nickolai (I think his name was). Not only bat-crazy, but somewhere the translation department forgot that no-one who speaks English as a first language would ever call shorts "knickerbockers" - much less would a man routinely tell everyone he met that he was wearing knickers (Well, not without copious amounts of alcohol and never with a straight face)
