I want this in Sun and Moon again. It's a great way to get HA pokemon and shinies if you don't have the shiny charm yet.

But I also want to see a different form of friend safari. Like, you can release a bunch of pokemon in your safari pen and your friend can come and catch those. And you can update your safari status via connecting to the Global Link.

Hope it does return, I had fun with Friend Safari, found a few unexpected shinies.

I'd love the Friend Safari to come back, I've used it a lot to get shinies and Pokémon for breeding.

And I really love the idea of being able to release Pokémon for your friends to catch! Would be a great place for breeding rejects for one. Though, just like with Wonder Trade, I'm afraid some people would just fill it with low level first route Pokémon...

It was a decent idea to make use of the friends list you had, so I wouldn't oppose it returning or something similar to it. It could probably be improved or expanded in some way, but right now I'm hitting a bit of a blank.

If it returns in some way then they should include HA starters and fossils in it this time around though. They've released them all through events now, so no reason to treat them as super secretive going forward as they're all breedable. And there's nothing I want more than my Pokemon in matching Pokeballs ;_;

Yes, I really want it to return. It was a great way to get HA Pokemon, theregion's starters you didnt have, and shinies. I see no reason why it should be removed, it was very useful. I hope Game Freak keeps it.

The Friend Safari as it was in X/Y was a great addition, and I'd love to have it come back. It was also just fun to see what type safari your friend's have and what Pokemon are in it. It's a very nice postgame perk, and my only complaint with it is how some people only had 2 Pokemon in their safari; I think it should've been equal for all players.

Everyone had three Pokémon in their safari though, except that the third one's only visible if you've been online at the same time as that person at least once. Something I didn't really like, as not everyone has access to the internet and time zones exist, so I do hope it won't be that like if the feature is brought back.

And I would like it if there was a way to see which Pokémon appear in your own safari.

I really enjoyed the friend safari in XY, and like most I went through the "trade FCs for safaris" phase and loved it haha.

It was a great addition and it gave variety too. I enjoyed everything about it and hope it returns.

That explains that then, thanks! I don't often leave my wifi on for the 3DS, so yeah, I'd also like to see all the Pokemon be available so long as that person is on your list, regardless of being online or not.

Bring it back, and instead of just 3 per person, make it 6.
  • 3 possible Hidden ability Pokemon during the day when the Sun is out
  • 3 possible Hidden ability Pokemon during the night when the Moon is out

See I was gonna suggest adding more Pokemon to each safari but I thought it makes it annoying if you're trying to get a specific ability or whatever. But your idea would be a good way to add more but allow the player to filter them down to make it easier to find what they want. So I quite like it :O

Yes. It was a nice feature, and the Pokemon were easy to catch and to trade away. But please, don't make it the only or the main source for catching new Pokemon in the postgame.

The problem with Friend Safari is that you have to connect with other people to actually get one. It would be nice if they made an improved Friend Safari where you can start out with five random zones which changes each new game. You can still connect to people to add more zones but I like to have five zones ready and waiting when I get there. Of course this might be a Kalos only feature.

Like all other features in previous games, I imagine the Friend Safari would be yet another feature that Game Freak will drop. I have no confidence in it returning, nor any of XY's other features. Be great if I was proven wrong though.

I find Friend Safari to be garbage, personally.

Give me a real Safari Zone. Not one I have to have a bunch of friends to get any use out of it. I would like a Safari Zone that doesn't have the safari ball/timer gimmick. I'd also like it to have varying environments like some caves and stuff to have a diverse pokemon population. Safari Zones have always seemed to me to be a place for a Region to have pokemon that are otherwise non-native to the region. Friend Safari doesn't feel like that to me. It feels the same as the old interaction areas on the second floor of the old POkemon centers in older games. Like a weird area where you start interacting with alternate universe versions of your character.

So... Friend Safari? No. Actual area to catch pokemon that I don't need to be friends with a whole bunch of people to get full benefits from? Yes. I have a lot of anxiety issues. Making random people online my 'friends' to access something in a game makes me get unpleasant eeriness all over.

I feel mixed on the Friend Safari. I find the idea cool, especially with starters able to be caught, but I dislike the whole online thing. I can't really see it leaving Kalos.

As @PinkIceFox said I'd rather have an actual Safari Zone, but without the time ginmick.

I wouldn't mind the return of Safari Balls though, I was a bit disappointed when those were gone in OR/AS, but I wouldn't mind having the option of using other PokéBalls.

I'd like to be able to catch fossils as well, just because I'd like to catch them in different PokéBalls. And besides, nothing really opposes Fossil Pokémon living in the wild. Perhaps you have to solve a puzzle in the Safari to unlock them?

If it returns in some way then they should include HA starters and fossils in it this time around though. They've released them all through events now, so no reason to treat them as super secretive going forward as they're all breedable. I'm confused... It already had HA starters. It just didn't have the Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, or Unova starters. Unless you meant the first stages? Fossils should be added, yeah.

Yes, I want the Friend Safari back. A huge yes on that. I used it a lot during my run on X and it's main reason why I haven't wiped my X file--paging Fox Mulder!--in order to start over. But if it makes a comeback in Sun and Moon, I'd like it to be expanded. Give us access to fossil Pokemon. Give us more than only three Pokemon in a Safari. Give us a new Friends Safari where we can catch the breeding scraps of some of our friends. Do something crazy and unexpected and awesome with it and I will be beyond good with its return.

As for the Safari Zone, I vote no. That place is waaaaaay too much of a headache for me; trying to chase down and catch a Chansey in LeafGreen was enough to make me slam my head against a wall. And don't get me started on the nightmare of possibly running into a shiny there. The last thing I want to see is a shiny Pokemon in a Safari Zone that kicks its way out of every Ball I pitch at it and it flips me off as it flees. I'd need a new 3DS at that point because I'd throw mine at the nearest wall or out of an open window. (Unless it was a shiny Bidoof/Bibarel. Then I'd just have another excuse to extinct that entire species.)

My opinion about safari's...

My favorite safari in all the Pokemon games was the one in HeartGold/SoulSilver. That safari had the old dynamic of bait and such that I didn't like, and I hope they will never bring it back ever again... But excluding that, it was superbly awesome: You were able to customize the environment, and even the Pokemon you'd encounter and catch from it! It was kind of like building a secret base, except it was in one place, and it was like improving a fairly decent terrain that you'd import as a block of land to add objects upon.

This is my dream of a friend safari: One that has the perks of being a wild pokemon battle safari and a customizable secret base! The base location and the objects put inside determine what Pokemon you find in them, and they could contain higher/lower levels and hidden abilities, too. Of course, to make them adventurous, the creator doesn't get to see nor battle the Pokemon in their own base safari, and what most of the items do to determine the Pokemon inside could also be concealed as well.

Now, wouldn't this be straight out amazing?
