As usual, the following will occur at the beginning of the season:
- End-of-season rewards will be available for Trainers on the battle screen.
- Trainers' GO Battle League ranks will be reset.
- Rank-up requirements will remain the same as in the previous season
For this season, the switch timer in the GO Battle League will remain at 45 seconds, maintaining the experimental change from the Tales of Transformation season. In addition to the GO Battle League, this switch timer will impact Trainer Battles against friends, Team GO Rocket battles, and team leader battles.
This experimental change will continue to be evaluated for play in the next and subsequent seasons.

GO Battle Week: Precious Paths
A short GO Battle Week will be held from Thursday December 4th at midnight local time, through to Monday December 8th at 11:59pm local time, overlapping with the simultaneous run of the Great League, Ultra League, and Master League.
During this event, the following bonuses will be active:
- Trainers will receive 4× Stardust from win rewards (separate to the end-of-set rewards)
- The maximum number of sets Trainers can play per day will be increased from five to 20 - for a total of 100 battles - from 12:00am to 11:59pm local time.
- Pokémon encountered via GO Battle League rewards will have a wider variance of Attack, Defense, and HP than would typically be seen.
- Trainers can use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.
Free battle-themed Timed Research will be available over this Battle Weekend. Completing the free Timed Research will award Trainers with the Grusha-style shoes avatar item, among other rewards.

A pass to access free battle-themed Timed Research will available to claim from the in-game shop from the start of the season. This Timed Research will keep track of Trainer's victories throughout the season, with each page requiring 100 battles and 50 wins to complete. Completing a page will award an amount of Stardust and items such as Rare Candy XL, with additional rewards including an Elite Fast TM, and an Elite Charged TM.
