In the city of Castelia in Unova a teenager ran through the crowds, he trying to push his way through all the people along with the Snivy that was hanging back on his back. "Damn it why does there have to be so many people." he frowned. He had short black coloured straight hair and blue coloured eyes. He was wearing a white coloured jacket with a black undershirt and a pair of jeans as well as a pair of goggles.

He felt the Snivy tug onto his jacket, something that made him yelp and step back. "Could you not do that, we have to hurry.' he pointed out as he frowned at the lizard.

Sitting at a cafe table near a window, a girl dressed up in a maid outfit with shoulder length curly blonde hair sighed. And pat her Glameow.

"This dummy's running late, at this rate let's make him treat us."

"Meowww" The girl's Glameow purred in agreement.
 
At that moment the boy ran inside of the cafe, his Snivy hanging on to dearl life as he slid to a halt and panted. He noticed that the people inside the cafe seemed to have already noticed him, causing him to chuckle nervously. "Sorry, please get back to your things." he pointed out before smiling as he saw the girl sitting with her Glameow.
 
"You almost destroyed the place bursting in like that you goof! Anyways it's nice to see you finally made it so take a seat." The girl named Melody points to the seat across from her. "Now tell me what kept you? If the answer doesn't satisfy me I'll make you pay for the bill. :p"
 
"There was a lot of people and the trains weren't working and...stuff." The boy replied as he looked at Melody, a nervous smile on his face as he ruffled the back of his head. "Plus Snivy fell down while we were running." he then looked at her and smiled. "Is that a good enough answer."
 
"Let me think for a minute!" Melody turns to her Glameow. "So what do you think Harmony? Is that an acceptable excuse?" Harmony shakes her head no. "Well looks like it's a verdict has been reached! Your paying. :p"
 
The boy known as Drake sighed in defeat, knowing that it was useless to try and argue with Melody. "I'm just gonna end up emptying my wallet with you aren't I." he chuckled before sitting down. "Fine, but first I gotta buy something before I can pay." he laughed before letting the Snivy down on the floor.
 
"But of course, after all it's only proper to treat a lady. Isn't that right Harmony?" Harmony purrs to show she agrees. "Well then even if I am on break, guess I'll be nice and go get you whatever you want, so what'll it be?"
 
"Hush, and act like a gentleman for once you goof. Other than that I'll go bring you the special of the day. A strawberry cheesecake, and I'll bring Snivy the best Pokemon food we have available. Now Harmony keep an eye on Drake, and make sure he doesn't run. :p" And on that note Melody headed off for the cafe's kitchen to fetch the cake and food for Drake and his Snivy, along with something for herself and Harmony.
 
"See now was it so hard to be nice." Drake mocked and pointed at her with the spoon before eating a piece from the cake he had been given. He smiled as he saw Snivy happily eating the Pokemon food that he had been given before. "When does your shift end?" he asked before eating another piece from the cake.
 
"Acting like that will get you less friendly service from me. </3" Melody pouts. "And anyways, technically my shift ends in 20 minutes but who cares. I don't think the boss minds if I spend the rest of the time chatting anyways, cause it's not that busy today. Now what did you call me for that was so urgent?"
 
"When do I get friendly time from you?' Drake chuckled a bit before speaking. He smiled at her and lowered his spoon for a moment. "My older sister got here today, she's been overseas the last couple of years on her research but she's going to be working here for a few days." he nodded his head and pointed at her with the spoon once more, a smile on his face as he stared at Melody and Harmony. "She invited me to go to the lab she's working in so I wanted to see if you wanted to come with me."
 
"Ohh your sister's coming back? Honestly I don't remember her all that well cause it's been forever. And no lie....what she researched, and her name are all foggy to me...eheh." Melody picks up Harmony, and cradles her in her arms. "So is it fine if I still visit?" Melody asks with a slight tone of uneasiness in her voice.
 
"Well I'm inviting you aren't I?" He stuck his tongue out at her before sliding the plate towards her side a little more. "For future reference her name's Sal, I don't know much about what she's been researching but I know it has to do with Pokemon and their bonds with trainers or something." he shrugged before noticing that Snivy had completely emptied his plate and was now pointing at Melody with it; almost as if asking for more. "Snivy don't be a glutton." he gave the small starter an unamused expression before looking back at Melody. "So yeah you'll be fine, also you can have what's left of the cake."
 
"Oh! Now I remember. It's been years since I've seen her. So I'll look forward to it." Melody's gaze ventures from Drake to his Snivy. "And now don't be mean to the little guy! It's perfectly alright if he wants more. Knowing you, he's probably training daily. So it's fine to spoil him a tad isn't that right?" Melody winks at Drake's Snivy while handing the little guy a second helping of food. "Eat up, and become a strong Serperior on day, okay?" Melody smiled, and then directed her attention at Drake once more. "Thank you for the cake! <3" Melody digs in finishing the rest of it off. "Oh I almost forgot, when are we going to see Sal anyways?"
 
"The research center in downtown." Drake nodded his head simply and smiled when he saw his Snivy eagerly go back to eating. "I was thinking we could go by subway." he pointed out before grinning. "And yes I do train him hard, but that's cause I want him to be that strong." he nodded his head and clenched his fist in determination.
 
"Oh alright. Sounds like a date to me." Melody winks at Drake before giggling to herself. "And well the little guy definitely looks stronger than when I last saw him. So that's terrific." Melody smiles while watching the little guy dig into his food. "And going by subway sounds perfectly fine to me, though I take it Harmony can come right? Cause I don't go anywhere without my precious little kitten. <3" Melody cooes as she pets Harmony.
 
"Eheh your still red." Melody pokes at Drake's cheek in amusement. "And yeah I just need to change and tell the boss I'm leaving....unless you wanted to walk the streets of Castelia with a maid by your side." Melody teased with a grin spread wide across her face.
