Ever since generation II I've always thought about a fusion machine. It's possible, considering that the pokemon world already has time machines

So what you're saying is: "What if the Pokemon games had a machine where you could fuse pokemon together?"

If so, it would take a LLLLLLLOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG time to perfect the software.

No way. To me, it sounds stupid and very unlikely.

Also, this sounds like a new feature to me, so this should've been posted here.

Unlikely but would be very welcome in my opinion, i'd love it.

I think it should be a complete revamp in Gen 5 and for example, Shelder and Slowpoke could evolve into slowbro via this method rather than level up.

Fusion should not be implemented for Pokemon like that. The only way it'd be cool is with Pokemon that are obviously paralleled, like Minun & Plusle or Solrock & Lunatone.

Fusion like what you mention is more of a Digimon thing.

This would completely snap game balance in two.

Not to mention, programming this would be really hard.

Very unlikely and something like that would make more sense with a breeding system. There definitely wouldn't be a machine where you could just fuse pokemon together.

This idea reminds me of the stuff in the Persona games...

...but I doubt it would work for Pokémon.

Even if they were to limit what pokemon could fuse, they need to never do it. The closest thing to fusion we'll ever get is the evolution of pokemon like koffing, beldum, and magnemite. I know that the comparison to digimon gets thrown around every new generation, but fusion would definitely be too digimon.

This is Pokemon, not Dragonball Z. I say no to fusions; it's a ridiculous idea, for a game with so many different species of creature.

I wouldn't mind if they maybe tried the fusion idea with only one new species of pokemon where two pokemon would have to combine to achieve some awesome new form.

But as for all the rest of the pokemon I would say no because well... because it just wouldn't be cool.

Incorrect. Assuming Gen V adds 100 Pokémon, there would be a total of 351649 possible fusions. If we were to count the different forms of Unown and Deoxys, Sky forme Shaymin, both Gastrodon, all three Wormadam, and the Rotom appliances, then the total possible fusions would be 399424.

The concept of fusions is both ridiculous and complex.

You say fusion, I say DBZ, and Digimon. No thank you. It would be ridiculous.
