Due to the recent attacks on the Bulbapedia, I have locked the Bulbapedia database to non-sysop edits until further notice. We will take this time to restore all pages, and set the wiki to require approval for every new account.

It's not something I wanted to do, but it's obvious that these people are simply not going to be stopping of their own accord any time soon.

Also, as a side note, I hear evkl rather likes the "Power Nazi" title these attackers gave him, and will be leaving it in his page. ^^;;

We'll also likely be creating an encyclopedic page on the events, both for historical purposes, and to mock these idiots with nothing better to do but to vandalize a Pokémon Wiki.

He was. Several times. Either he's using proxies, or his ISP allows him to rotate his IP easily (More likely to be a cable user whose ISP rotates his IP every time he resets his computer rather than a dialup, given the speed of his little bot here).

Please note that database locks affect all users - sysop, bureaucrat, developer or proletariat - and no-one can edit. It should not be used in all but the most dire emergencies and for maintenance operations, which was what it was originally designed for. (Hence why only "developers" can lock the database)
