G Gundam? Why is it hated?

Out of all Gundam Series, people always complain about this one.
Why?
I think it had great characters (Domon Kashu rules!).
A great storyline (I really liked the tournament stroyline).
Great music, such as the opening theme.
And the gundams are very cool in my opinion, especially God Gundam.

So, why do people not like it? Is it because it isn't so philosiphical as the other series?

I personally think the opposite. The other series, like SEED, just bore me with all the talking and stuff. Maybe it's just me though.

The other Gundam series have profound political themes, excellent antiwar arguments, and enough moral ambiguity the fandom's sharply decided on which side to root for. (Sieg Zion!)

G Gundam is a fighting anime with a ton of over-the-top national stereotypes and the trappings of a gundam series.

I LOVE G Gundam! Its one of the best gundam series out there if u ask me! I love it!

I liked it at first, but once the Gundams started glowing gold....that was a let down. You'd think there would be more creative ways to pass off super attacks then turning Super Saiyajin.

Then, in combination of the elitist fans and the discovery of G Gundam's voice actor crew being the voices behind the later Megaman X games....nope. Really don't like it.

It definitely wasn't as indepth as Gundam's other incarnations. On the other hand, I did like the mobile trace system.

I think the glowing gold= super saiyajin is intensional. A lot of the stuff in G-Gundam was parodying Karate Anime and Kung-fu Movies. Its even more clear in Japanese, which I think makes it funny... though at times the show is culturally unsensitive...

The American Gundam being patriotic by busting out of the statue of liberty...?
The Mexican Gundam having a big sombrero...
The Chinese gundam being a chef with a pony tail and did kung-fu...

...Nether gundam doubling as a windmill...
