They added Ethan in as a variety scout today for the release of the new TCG expansion in Japan. Also it happens to be the 15th anni of HGSS's release stateside. I'm gonna pull him. I have to.

Happy Good Sleep days everyone! I totally forgot to talk about this, but during the Full Moon you get extra points for tracking your sleep over a three day period. 1.5x points on the first and third days and 2x points on the second. Even if you don't usually track your sleep in the app, its worth your while to track on the Good Sleep Days.

I love how when I feel like I'm getting the worse sleep in my life, I manage to S rank lol

This week is Psychic-type week, which means Psychic types appear frequently during sleep research and all that jazz.

I chose to go to Lapis Lakeside this week due to the abundance of Psychic types there, and since its a higher level stage,I might see the new additions this week (Munna and Musharna) faster then I would if I went to Greengrass (also a good place to go for this event! Especially if you're just starting out!)

Or I could just use the incense I just received for reaching Basic 2, except I can't yet because it doesn't activate until 3pm my time lol.

My only goal is to get a Munna this week! And perhaps Psychic type week will bless me with a Shiny. The rates tend to increase around these event weeks.

And I'm starting to hesitate doing such long write ups for these, and every time I tell myself that, something charming happens and I'm like "Damn, I love this silly story."

This is an aside, but I have... no idea what's happening with Mela's pose there. It hurts me physically to look at. I normally wouldn't mention anatomy issues here because I don't think it really matters as this piece probably went through at least 2 or 3 committee meetings before someone said "Its Fine"

But augh.

Anyway, this event is about my least favorite member of Team Star. Which is saying something because this is literally how he is:

The best parts of these events are the cross-gen interactions. DeNA decided to have Ortega beef with Bede because. Of course.

This writes itself lmaaao.

Ortega's storyline for this chapter of the Academy Founding arc is that there is a teacher shortage on Pasio and he makes it his whole thing that he's gonna be a teacher at the Academy.

(Also yes, Team Star being tutored by Juliana is briefly mentioned in the story. Ortega gets furious that they wanna nominate her as a teacher, thus compelling him to prove that he is on the same level as her.)

Bede talks about his own upbringing here with Ortega, particularly that some teachers just aren't that great individually and sometimes you do just gel better with some teachers. Of course, I am oversimplifying that as Bede's story in SWSH also includes him being adopted and exploited by said teacher before he's taken in by Opal (where are you opal i want you on pasioooo) But speaking with Bede about his experiences turns some gears in Ortega's brain (ahahah get it?)

I took a lot of screenshots of this conversation simply because it resonated with me as someone on the periphery of being a teacher. Particularly that education isn't one-sided. In the way that students can learn from students and that teachers can learn from their students. I dig that a lot.

What nooooo... Penny you must be misremembering things. That was Clive remember? (Yes I played through Starfall Street at least twice, I'm still hoping for Clive and Crocalor fkghgkhk)

Ortega might be a little shit, but I can see him being a force for good when he's thinking rationally and altruistically. Sometimes you do need a loud brat like him to get things done.

Hell yeah, Clavell continues to be one of the best educators portrayed in fiction ngl.

I haven't mentioned it, but it is brought up a little earlier in the event and earlier events: One of the reasons why Lear is so on board with establishing an academy on Pasio is because his own education was strict and punishing. He believes he can do better than that. Because he's Lear of course. And he's very similar to Ortega in the way that when he can use his strong sense of justice for anyone other than himself, he is a force to be reckoned with.

I love them y'all. My precious children. I'm so glad these events were so kind to them. My favorite lil evil team of the series fr.

Anyway, with Ortega's event wrapped up. They announced today that Pasio Academy is really coming to the game and its a way to customize your units! Along with dropping the prerequisite Rosa unit (wearing the uniform Atticus designed!)

You know, every couple of months someone says "Masters is EoL/sunsetting soon, they won't add anything else to the game!!" Naw, I don't think so. Its incredible that they can keep it fresh and interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with this new feature, I wonder who else will be getting Academy units?

And one more thing before i leave ya:

I keep forgetting to post the shinies I hatch in Masters lol. I got this guy the other day and a Munchlax from the last egg event. I think I've said this before: hatching eggs daily is a good way to remember to check the app lol.

Managed to get one more Munna from the event and all three sleep styles! I think this week was a success.

well... ok i guess i could do some more to sleep better. (considering how sleepy i am right now lol.)

going to lapis for at least one more week. i'm planning on heading to baby island for the cresselia event. or maybe i should stay and reap the benefits of the island bonus? who's to say?

Shining Revelry came out yesterday, and I did my usual 10 pack pull for it, here's what I got:

Shinies have their own marks that's different from the Diamond or Stars. Hmm.

Overall I'm satisfied with what I got! I was gonna head back into the MI Trenches for Blue, but the current event compels me to open more packs for SR. Augh.

Hello hello good morning, I got a couple of small updates.

I'm missing a couple of screenshots this morning because there is a massive, game breaking bug, that I was a little concerned about this morning and that took a bit of precedence.

Luckily I wouldn't have been too affected because I linked my account to Apple and took some necessary screenshots last night to make sure my data was secure. But PLEASE make sure your data is backed up properly (By linking to your Apple/Google account)! Sucks that this had to happen during a major event.

I did catch Cresselia last night, and this is key as Neroli explains:

Cresselia is gonna be chilling on my team for the next two weeks. I kind of wish I had more Psychic candies from Psychic week as Cresselia only comes to you initially at level 28 and she needs to be at least Lv 30 to unlock her second ingredient, but I'll try to level her up as we go along.

So the Global Drowsy Power works kind of like this: It takes your score and combines it with the median score of everyone else, and if you hit that daily goal with the combination of that score, you get a prize (today's was 30 Cresselia Down that you can trade in for Incense and Biscuits to make obtaining Cresselia easier.)

I recommend saving up your Down once you've caught Cresselia so you can trade it in for a Main Skill Seed and Cresselia Biscuits at the end. The Cresselia Biscuits will be turned into free Great Biscuits at the conclusion of the event, which is always useful to have around.

I should probably mention that I activated a Good Sleep Ticket last night after dinner (which doubles up on everything. Cooking, Berry collection its 500 gems in the shop and I had well over 5,000 gems from stocking them up over the year half.) I don't think to use it because it depletes your supplies dramatically. However I keep having surplus issues and hitting my bag limit of 700 constantly. So its time I think to use one and see what happens.

Also I want to see how it rolls into this second week of Cresselia vs Darkrai I want to see how much I can break this game lol.

Probably because I've been going to bed earlier and later at the same time. (I had a score of 51 last night because I went to bed around 1am lmao)

Oh interesting. For the legendary beasts you got to see Snorlax's level up to Ultra 4 on the field. I guess with all the glitches recently they didn't want to risk breaking your game by leveling you up so much.

Its a nice bonus and its gonna make reaching the higher event drowsy powers easier. (I just gotta remember to go to bed at a reasonable time tonight lol.

Hello again! Its been a bit because life. lol.

I plan on updating again on Monday. However, to make things easier for myself I'm revamping a few things:

1) We're not gonna be as image based as previously. I have to resize the images one by one in order to make them fit acceptably and it takes far too much time. There will be images! But not as many as before.
2) For PokeMas I'm not... really keen on the Academy ngl. Moving forward the only events I'll cover are Story Events and the Arceus Arc. Buuuut I do like the Academy alts though, they're really fun.
3) Unless something huge happens don't really expect posts outside of Monday lol. I've already kind of said this before, but I'm making it official now.

I've been camping out at Old Gold Power Plant for a bit as its the only area that I have below 70% for sleep styles. With the new update letting me finally level up past level 60, I hope OGPP is a lot easier to manage!!

I woke up to two new sleep styles this morning and that's pretty great! Although my Good Camp Ticket ran out last night, I don't expect to do as well as I did last week lol.

Also: this week is the Dream Shard event! I'm hoping to get enough DS to upgrade my pot and make larger dishes. I think that'll be my goal for this week. Remember to put out your incenses!!

Also I think I've hit a point where I am getting less Skip Tickets vs. my Stamina. So I need to learn how to better manage those resources ngl. I'm rank 90 now though lol.

Hello!! Good morning folks!

Mangaed to squeak by to Master 1 last week for Dream Shards week and finish the rewards! Now I'm heading to the beach to prepare for Egg Salad.

Also I was surprisingly consistent in my sleep last week as I got an S rank and all. Interesting. As a note, getting S rank doesn't mean you're sleeping well. It only means you're going to bed on schedule. My sleepiness this morning is telling lmao.

I'm thoroughly prepared with my Oran Berry team, but in terms of Salad ingredients, I feel a bit underwhelmed (Blastoise is so much better for dessert gathering.) I'll see what happens though.

FINALLY: They're adding Murkrow sometime in May!! I was totally expecting them to add Zoura since they need more Unova mons imho, but I love the developers Johto bias so I can't complain. I hope they make the line Flying type as we need more Flying types in the game generally. But with Darkrai's ability, I doubt it.

Datamine came early this month, but I felt a little underwhelmed by the Iono and Elesa event. I already have a bunch of really good electric units so I don't think I need a new one lol.

But finally pulled Academy Morty, and I'm very happy about that.

I forget when they pushed it, but I'm really happy that they extended the level cap to 65. Now my regular team (Slowking, Raichu and Venusaur) can level up again. However, the amount of Dream Shards neeeded for the level up though... Ooooofa.

Last week was fine! A little uneventful other than a shiny Weepinbell I got on Wednesday. The game sure has a way of giving me shinys that don't look like shinys lol.

This week is the Spring Fesitival which I just realized coincides with Golden Week lol. As I mentioned last week, I'm at the beach for the boost. Let see how quickly I can nab a Happiny.

Howdy, happy Wednesday.

Chansey week went really well! I was able to get Happiny and then the sleep styles for Chansey and Blissey. I was really close to getting Chansey as well, but I used too many of my candies and didn't have enought to evolve Happiny lol.

However, the new dishes required far more ingredients then I could muster this week. I was only able to make the Apple Acid dish. It came out to about 201,481 dish strength though after I got an extra tasty bonus lol.

This week we're at Taupe Hollow. I might skip to Snowdrop next week as the next Darkrai event is coming up later this month. I don't really do much for Growth Weeks and they feel a bit like filler lol.

I've been opening up Celestial Guardian while occasionally opening up Shining Revelry in hopes of pulling Full Art Red. I've been getting really lucky with Wonder Picks recently thanks to the Sneak Peek event. I got Full Art Giratina EX and Incinearoar EX this way.

Alder's story was pretty good! I There's a time and place where you need to recognize that you need to let new talent take over and usher in a new status quo. But the thing I liked about Alder's storyline is that he can do that, but also keep pushing himself to be stronger. I dunno, I thought that was nice.

I really wanted Adaman or Irida's modern day outfits that they're rerunning rn but no dice on pulling them. I might try for Bede and Iron Vailent though.

New Moon Day was... Interesting? I did not get another Darkrai, but I did get a Murkrow. I love Sleep Buttons Johto bias, have I mentioned this before? Its kind of like DeNA's Unova bias. I see it. I respect it.

The Canalave City remix was beautiful ahhh. I hope they continue to do New Moon Day, its nice to have a stronger chance of befriending Pokemon + increased Shiny bonus.

Yes. I will be throwing my free gems at Larry Alt this month. But more on that in a future update. Lets talk about the NeoChamp event.

Honestly, the beginning really threw me off. Like, Elio and Selene are already NeoChamps?? Whaaaa???

But they hooked me by the fact that the story is more about what they do as NeoChamps, which is to:

1. Emulate the Island Challenge on Pasio for everyone.
2. Introduce everyone to Alolan culture.

And that was interesting. We never get to see the NeoChamps actually being NeoChamps. We barely see it in the main series game!! So this was a really refreshing event for me, ngl.

Also I thought the partners were so cute like. Their little intros??

Rly rly cute wahhh.

Anyway, I was crossing my fingers and hoping maybeeee Alolan Red and Blue would have shown up. But I think the Datamine would of had their models if that were the case. Well, since Samson is here now, maybeee next month? Probably never lol.

Anyway, I am very enthused that the Ultra Beasts from the new expansion have attacks based on music genres. Really fun!! Makes collecting them a lot more fun for me.

The funniest one for me is Necrozma having "Shoegaze" lmaoo like. Shoegaze? For a creature of terrifying stature?? Good god that's hilarious to me.

Honestly I am interested to know if every language follows this naming scheme, and I hope they have a theme like this in the future.

Other than that, I haven't been too lucky so far. But I did get Lusamine's full art in my first pull:

Also I've been forgetting to pull Shining Revelry for Red's FA. Its been a really hectic month for me (if you couldn't tell by my infrequent update schedule.) So I've just been pulling what they've been putting in front of me each morning/evening lol. I think once things settle down for me, I'll start working towards completing the Reguri binder lol.

I feel though, that some of the events in Sleep have been quite boring recently, so I really hope they add a new stage soon. Not really keen on the Expert Level update either. But ehhh. I'm really close to 700 days logged which is kind of incredible. Maybe there will be something exciting next month for the second anniversary.
