Hi Everyone!
There are various game mechanics which I cannot seem to find anywhere, no matter how hard I look, though I need to know!
Please can you help me?

The first thing I need to know is:
- What are the chances of "Got away safely!" or "Can't escape!" and what factors do they depend on?

Thankyou!

Bulbapedia has an article about it. To put it simply, the Speed stat of both Pokémon, and whether you've tried to escape before are the main factors. Things like held items, abilities, or moves that have been used during the battle can change the chances of escaping.

You can use this thread to ask anymore questions about game mechanics you may have.

EDIT: Beaten.

Thanks!
A couple of more things.
1. If two pokémon of the same speed both use a move with the same priority, Quick Attack for example, which pokémon would go first?
2. Secondly, do pokémon trainers in the game have AI, or do they pick a random move? I assume they do have AI, but what are the mechanics of it?

Thanks!

1. Its a tie, so each has a 50%chance of going first

2. It has some form of AI, dont know about its mechanics though

I'll use the other topic next time, but one more thing. The scrolling on these forums seems a bit buggy, when I'm scrolling with the scroll bar at the side, it often displays the top of the page instead of the bit it should be displaying. Is this normal?

Which browser are you using? I'm using Chrome, but I tried it with Firefox and it worked fine.
