When you hear "Pokemon" is the first image that comes to mind "Ash and Pikachu" or is it an image from the video game?

Also, I think that the anime did come out based on the games (to answer that question) but that Yellow Version was more based on the anime.

Yeah...that's how it is.

But when someone says "Pokémon" I just think of the Pokémon franchise and creatures in general...

the anime comes first in my mind. Even though I play the games much more than I watch the show.

Video Games.

Yeah, with the exception of Yellow, the anime is based on the games.

I always think of the games first. I never really liked the anime, but BMGer's have been keeping me relatively up-to-date.

I think of the anime, since I usually watch it more than I play the games.

I usually think the show first and then the games. Because once when I went to see a fireworks display I heard a kid say "Look that firework looks like a Pokeball". Then I thought of Ash throwing a Pokeball xD. I know that sounds wierd but it's true!

I always think of the first episodes with Satoshi, Kasumi and Takeshi . . they have the most nostalgia for me. Well, duh.

I think of Pikachu when I hear the word Pokemon. Though I'm always thinking of the Pikachu's in my games anyway.

Speaking of Games or Anime, anyone else annoyed that it seems some game players freak out because the anime doesn't follows stats?

I mean, I noticed the gamers of the fandom seem to have alot of anger at the anime fans for no real reason. 0.o

given, a lot of stats in the games would make sense. For instance, tortoises are hella slow but have godly defenses due to their shells (I said it before, and I'll say it again: practically every fucking thing in the anime just seems to involve a hit-and-run strategy -_-). And while I'm not suggesting that the anime follow stats exactly to some insane level where everything is just measured in numbers (sorta like the Special manga), you gotta admit that if they just stuck to some kind of tier levels concerning the Pokemon's battle traits, we'd see a helluva lot less inconsistencies.

But I mean this person was freaking out because Roark's Rampardos knew Flamethrower....
