Note that this fanfiction will contain profanity and some scenes that which should be comprehended by mature audiences.

It's an old production that I haven't got onto for a couple months now. Done around 10 chapters on IGN - and definitely want to start this off on BMG really. I'll do 2 chapters at a time for the first 10 I've had done already. Excuse the errors in the few chapters that don't make sense, they probably are non-factors for the rest of the fanfic.

Chapter 1 - The Crash

"You sure you girls are ready for being Pokemon trainers?" Mum said, turning her head back as Dad was driving the car past the Miltank farms of the New Bark Countryside Highway.

The girls stared at the mother. The three identical sisters stared, and said together, "We've been waiting for too long. We've been under yours and Dad's shadows for so long now and we just want our own lives now."

The girls had a point. Their mother was an actor, a blonde actor who pretty much was as dumb as the next blonde but had beautiful looks. Their father was a rock singer. He had a rather rubbishy look with brown hair and dreadlocks but had polished his act to just look after his daughters while the mother makes several million a year.

However, when the triplets were born, their mother condemned that they look as identical as their sisters, so she insured that the girls had surgery to look exactly identical at a young age, which was bad for their health. The father tried to oppose her ideas but the mother insured that her wants would happen.

So there they were. With their thick, straight brown hair extending down to just below their shoulders, their big brown hair, their pale skin and big lips with their rather slim look as well as their rather tall height (being 5'10'), these fourteen year old girls were ready - to become Pokemon Trainers.

Their mother never wanted it to happen. She tried anything and everything, but their father wanted for it to happen - to see the outside world that they never could by staying in the lights of Goldenrod City. Of course, neither of them had seen it either since they were celebrities.

"Mel, just quit it. They won't let down being Pokemon trainers. They have studied most aspects if you haven't noticed. Let Nat, Nikki and Nic a chance here." the father said, as he keeps his eye on the wheel.

"But why? Why become Pokemon trainers when you can become celebrities?" Mel said, always opposing her husband in most things.

"Maybe because we want to be different." Natalie said, "Why do we always have to follow your shadow?" Nikki said, "We don't always have to be the same as you." Nicole said.

"But.. but.. oh I give up. I just can't believe this is happening." Mel said, crying. Each of her daughters hands put their hands on her shoulder, "Don't worry, we'll be okay." Nicole said.

Looking at the sign in front of him, "We've only got about another half an hour until New Bark Town." Dad said, as they passed the sign but he misread it, with Nikki correcting him, "It says 100 kilometres, Dad. You're going at like 70 so it's an hour and a half."

"Whoops, slipped my mind." Yet the girls always corrected him on most of his mistakes. They were very much smart girls, knowing quite a bit about schoolwork and the main formulas, as much as they dreaded it.

"But of course girls," Dad said, "It could be half an hour."

"Um Steve, don't try it, I don't want another accident like the one last year where you nearly died." Mel said, staring at his husband in disgust that he wanted to go fast, considering he was an accident-prone driver. It was found he would make an accident if he ever went over 110 kilometres per hour.

"And we don't want anyone dead." Natalie said.

"Yeah yeah okay." as it went quiet in the car. As the electric-fueled car, a rare commodity compared to the normal fuel car drove through the low-lying plains where the likes of Mareep and Miltank relax and give their energy to nilk and electricity for the Johto region.

Natalie decides to start up a conversation, "So, what Pokemon do we want? I want Chikorita."

"I want Lotad." Nikki said, with a quick response from Nicola, "Um Nikki, Lotad is in Hoenn."

"Oh, I love Grass/Water types though... So when what are you getting, Nicola?" Nikki replied.

"Of course, Squirtle." as Natalie and Nikki laughed. A little annoyed, "What's wrong with that?" as she pushed Nikki in the middle seat, who in-turn pushed Natalie.

"You're telling me that I can't get Lotad, but you can't get Squirtle because it's from Kanto!" as the girls start to laugh and begin talking about Pokemon.

Their dad began to talk in the conversation, "Why don't you go into the Triple Battle thing? New battle rules and the like." Steve said.

"What, 3 Pokemon vs 3 Pokemon?" the girls asked their father.

"Yeah. The gym leader will create a larger field for Triple Battle. You three should sign up for that." as Steve looks at them with one hand.

"Thanks for telling us Dad." Nicole said as Steve didn't have a hand on the steering wheel and drove straight into a corner and smashing into another car, smashing Steve's front bumper as well as the other driver's left side. It got worse however, as the friction from the accident pushed both cars over the cliff that the corner was on. Both cars began falling down with the other car 'attached' to Steve's car.

The triplets screamed before their vision and everyone in the picture whitened out.

At the Legendary Shrine of the Dogs, Suicune, Raikou and Entei are sitting there sleeping. Entei wakes up and sees a vision of the car falling over.

"Oy! You losers! Get your **** asses up will ya!?!" as Entei started kicking the both of them. Suicune sprayed water as Entei fell over while Raikou awoke.

"What's going on?" Raikou asked, as Entei in an unorthodox position after the spray of water.

"Look, can't you see the car!" the red furry dog exclaimed.

"Oh, what the ****? Stupid human, I think he's drunk."

"Nah, he didn't have a hand on the wheel."

"Just perfect. Get Suicune up."

"Um, I can't. I'm the Blazing guy, I just fell on my ****in ass because of the spray of water!"

"Okay, whatever." as Raikou bolted Suicune, who immediately woke up. Completely dazed, he saw Entei & Raikou run out the door. Feeling a little sick and little loopy, he decides to run since something's happened.

"Is the water ass up yet?" Entei asked Raikou.

"After that shock he has to be. Otherwise he really must've had the bag emptied."

"Yeah." as they trampled past the forest to the accident.

"Hold on, we have to make sure no-one sees anything." Raikou said as he kicks some dirt in the air. He quickly uses a spark of thunder which whitens the whole area.

"Good, let's get the people outta there." Entei said as Suicune, the blue mystical looking dog finally catches up. "Why did you have to get me up? I was having a great time!"

"Dude, let's put it simple. You need to get off the weed." Entei told Suicune, softly.

"But it's good!"

"It's screwing your mind."

"Okay whatever."

"Alright, let's carry on."

"Carry on what?"

"The reason I woke you up!"

"Which was.."

"There's an accident between two cars just near the shrine. We just whitened the area so we have to be quick." Raikou said standing in the middle of Entei and Suicune.

"Okay, let's go."

"Okay." as the trio stood where the cars stood. The cars were trampled, but there were the triplets - there, no blood or anything compared to the other people. The dogs stared at them.

"Wow, those three must be lucky." Entei said, "Let's get them out first."

"Then can we go back and buy some more weed?" Suicune asked, as Raikou quickly kicked Suicune in the head, saying "You serious?"

The dogs finally got the girls out. They looked at them. "Triplets." Suicune said.

"Just great. We going to leave them here in the forest?" Raikou asked.

"Heck no! We may as well take them to the Shrine." Entei said.

The other dogs stared at him, then exclaimed "SERIOUSLY!?! That means that they'll have to be..."

"Spirit Protectors yes. It's about time we saw the world, we're getting too stupid and random staying in the shrine. Besides, there are people that need help." Entei said.

"Whatever I guess. We leave the other people there?" Raikou asked.

"Well, if they're bloody in their heads and stuff, I have a pretty good idea they won't be waking up anytime soon." Entei said, as he commanded, "Take one of these girls on your back and let's get to the Shrine before anyone notices."

So quickly they ran, as the white vision got taken by the winds, as the holes in the barrier were very much noticed by the people, as they rang the ambulances for help.

Chapter 2 - Awakening

The dogs laid the girls just outside the entrance of the shrine, beside a tree.

"You sure no-one will snatch them?" Suicune asked Entei.

"I wouldn't hope so. Besides, the only Pokemon that are around here are the Bugs. But just in case.. Raikou, cast a Reflect." Entei said.

"Roger." Raikou replied as his horn casts a Safeguard around the girls, "I don't think I'll need a Reflect cast over this."

"No you don't." Entei replied.

"But hold on, won't they just run off?" Suicune asked.

"Thanks for the advice. Cune, since you were the last one to wake up, you write a note telling them to come in the cave we have here. Raikou and I will just entertain ourselves. You do know we have Liechi Berries from yesterday in our food sacks..." Entei said.

"Liechi! That's my kind of weed!" Suicune said, happy, as he gets a piece of bark and uses his claws to write 'Please come inside the cave.'

He happily enters the cave to find only five Liechi Berries on the table, "I thought there'd be more!!!" Suicune exclaimed, angry and annoyed.

"Well, you know how rare Liechi Berries are, there's only one tree to find them, and they take too long to ripen." Entei replied, "So be happy what you've got."

"Oh man... But what are we going to do today?" Suicune asked.

"Claw Wrestling?" Entei asked.

"No, we more like do that everyday." Suicune replied.

"Playing with the Weather?" Raikou asked, "It's fun. Especially when we make thunder. It's always cool."

"We tried that last time, those Castform made us run around for hours." Suicune replied.

"Chasing Bugs?" Entei asked.

"No, no, no. We need something new, we get too bored these days." Suicune replied, a little annoyed as he eats his Liechi Berries, finishing them in a matter of seconds.

"Well..." Entei thought then said, "I guess we wait for the girls to wake up. I'm going to assume that they want to know more about the accident since their vision whitened out."

"I guess so." Raikou said as he curled up then said, "Wake me if you can." then fell asleep. Entei followed and Suicune stayed, and cast Rain Dance through one of the many holes of the shrine, as rain splattered the forest. Suicune stood under the holes as the rain kept pouring on his blue fur. He then stook the rain off before saying, "Rain. How great rain is." before trying to stay awake.

Meanwhile as the rain began it's downpour, Natalie woke up. She looked and saw her sisters lying on the tree to her right and left, sleeping. She stared up and looked back to where she was and began to wonder, 'Why isn't it raining around where we are?'

She started to wake her sisters up. "Where are we?" Nicole asked, tired as after some shakes she finally had her eyes open.

"You asking me? I have absolutely no clue. I just hope we're not dead." Natalie responded.

"Well, the last thing you and I remember is whiting out from the crash, right?"

"Yeah. Who knows what happened..."

"We better wake Nikki up." as Natalie and Nicole walked to where she was lying. They stood her up and started to shake her. Nikki falls on the ground as soon as she stays straight, but gets up again. Nikki stares around everywhere and said, "What the heck is going on?"

"You asking us?" Natalie and Nicole asked.

"So you have so clue?"

"Yeah, we have no clue." Nicole said as she steps on a piece of bark. She picked it up and began reading it out loud, "Please come inside the cave."

"I'm assuming that cave." Natalie said, pointing at the cave with two towers, each having some light coming out of it. The cave's exterior looked a little messy and cavemanish but had bamboo around part of the outside. It also read 'The Shrine of Legends' in quite messy writing on the top of the cave.

"We may as well, you just never know, there could be legendaries in there." Nikki said as they held hands and slowly crept in. There was a small walkway full of scratches, from the dirt on the ground to the ceiling. Someone really must have either got bored or trampled this place, they thought.

The walkway was a little longer than they anticipated as the light began to fade. The cave started getting darker before there was a secondary light, coming from ahead. The girls started getting a little frightened as the closest thing to being this dark was being in a haunted house, but there were brown lights scattered around the area.

The walkway ended. The girls stopped. There was a hole above them, that was pouring down with rain but it was still hard to see in the cave. They looked upon the area that was as they assumed, 'The Shrine of Legends'.

There were light towers that had no light. There were trees and wood stumps that were made to be chairs and tables. There was Mareep fur lying on the ground in all random places. It looked to be a rather caveman casual place, but as the girls looked, something startled them.

The legendary dogs. Raikou and Entei were asleep, Raikou with his face against the wall and his tail under a wood stump, and Entei lying on his back.

But Suicune was up, and as soon as the triplets and Suicune stared at each other, the triplets said simultaneously, "Suicune?" a little startled that such a legendary would preside right before their eyes.

"Yes, I am the Suicune. Let me wake my fellow brothers up."

"Wait." Nicole said, ready to run and yank Suicune's tail, "We want to know something."

"And what is that?"

"Where are we and what exactly happened from where we were before."

"I see. I have absolutely no clue for as you see, I adore berries like a drug addict adores weed. I feel asleep after eating a lot of Chesto Berries, causing a nasty chain-effect."

"Well that's nice to hear about you, but who does know?" Nikki asked, a little annoyed.

"Of course, my brother Entei was awake at the time. Give me a second, us dogs hate waking up, I know you know what I am saying right now."

"Of course." as the girls huddled and began talking.

"So that really is Suicune?" Nicole asked, a little shocked at the legendary's presence, still.

"I think so. You can't make a fake Suicune you know. Or clone it for that matter." Nikki responded, also surprised.

"But still, where are we?" Natalie asked.

"You asking us? Let's ask them." Nicole responded.

Meanwhile as the girls huddled, Suicune took a breath and began making the air around Entei and Raikou colder. Entei opened his eyes just as Suicune is about to kick Entei.

"What is it?" Entei asked in a low, annoyed voice.

"Our protectors over there want to look at the crash." Suicune replied, trying to urge to point as though he wanted to go to the bathroom.

"Well, we'll have to show them my vision then." Entei said.

"How will they see that though?"

"How else?"

"I have no clue." as Suicune began to rest.

"Well, I think if put them on my back and run with looking at the past, that might work."

"You've never tried that before." a tired Raikou got up and said.

"Hey, trying's better than nothing. We all know that, we're supposed to be guardians." Entei replied, saying in his normal voice after being in the low voice for the last minute.

"Yeah, great job we're doing." Suicune said sarcasticly.

"Well, let's get to it."

So, Entei asked, "You girls ready?"

"Ready as ever." the girls said, simultaneously.

"Hop on my back, and I'll give you a ride and show you what happened." Entei replied. The sisters, who had to help one another to get up (due to Entei's thick fur) sat on Entei's back, below his white cape.

"Hold on." Entei said, as the girls hugged their sister in front of them around the shoulders and throat, while Natalie, in front, had her hands on the top of Entei's head, while not touching the gold object on his forehead.

Entei walked out of the cave, but as they walked, Entei sped up. After they got out of the cave, Entei was using Extremespeed. He slowed down again just as the girls went unconscious.

They weren't properly unconscious though. Still standing upright on Entei's back, they were visioning the crash as it took place.

They watched as their father had sped the car. As he turned his head to look at the girls, he had a hand on the steering wheel that had adjusted to the other lane, as well as pushing his foot further on the accelerator. He looked and quickly turned back, fast enough that the girls did not notice, and began to talk at the time. But, he did not realise he was going so fast as he did not look at the speed rating. Electric cars are also harder to quickly slow down the car compared to a fuel car. So, the car couldn't turn around in time (even the ABS brakes didn't help) as the car oncoming was trying to evade the accident, but they were over a small cliff and there wasn't much chance.

They saw the accident happen. The left side of the oncoming car got battered particularly in the center. The car the girls were in had the bonnet completely stripped of and the engine began to wear down. But, the car wouldn't stop. Electricity will still run until it collides with something, and that's why electric cars are environmentally friendly but they are not very reliable in a crash.

Steve's car pushed the other car into the barrier. The common metal barrier will not keep the cars on the highway depending on the amount of friction and force there is. Since the electric car was still speeding and had not stopped and the oncoming car being more like an extension of Steve's, there was too much force and the metal broke.

Both cars fell over the hill, but it was very steep. The cars tumbled down the slope and hit various rocks on the way down. As the girls had their whited visions, the cars had created a mini landslide, removing rocks and stones, and even tree roots when they were over halfway down. The car never flipped until the end, when the landslide crashed into a couple of trees, while the cars flew out of them, flipped and crashed on the dirt. The car obviously stopped since the wheels were not able to move and were there."

Entei started to speed up, and as soon as he was doing an Extremespeed, the girls broke out of their temporary unconsciousness. They all, immediately asked politely, "Can we go to the crash site?"

"Well, I guess it's the best thing I can do for you." as Entei's golden forehead lighted up, and as Entei was running to the crash area, Raikou and Suicune followed.

"Lemme guess.." Suicune said, just as he was about to say about going to the crash site, Raikou quickly butted in and said, "Yes, you don't need to tell it to everyone."

"You have a point." Suicune replied, as the dogs with the girls on Entei's back, finally made the crash area.

"Raikou, light please." Entei asked Raikou.

"Watch your eyes people." as everyone looked elsewhere, he charged dust to make the light surrounding the area become white.

"Believe me, you won't like what you see." Entei said, warning the triplets as they got off Entei and walked. The white light had created a mini fog so they could not see the cars, but after walking for about 30 seconds, they stared at the chaos. Both cars were in a mess. After staring, they quickly ran to the electric car, still generating little static shocks.

They were fast runners, sprinting down at a very quick speed before Raikou managed to stop them. "You're not touching that! Can't you see the.." but gets interrupted by Natalie, "Yes, we can see the car."

"Not the car!" Raikou said, who started to get annoyed. "You're not touching that unless you want to be paralyzed for the rest of your life."

"Nat, he means the static." Nicole told Natalie, who finally saw the shocks surrounding the car. "Oh, sorry. Can you help us Raikou?" she politely asked.

"Of course." Raikou replied, who looked at the cars. He concentrated, then released a bolt of lightning that stopped the static from flowing. "That good enough?"

"Yeah, thanks." Natalie replied. The girls went on both sides and looked into the electric car. They saw their parents, blood-covered bodies, with parts of shattered glass on their bodies or on the clothes, tattered from the accident.

The girls looked, then ran toward each other and burst into tears on the ground in a triangle. They all hugged each other as they fell face-first, their hair span around as they fell, falling on their faces. They cried and cried, knowing what had happened.

In the background, Entei and Raikou looked at each other, with Suicune trying to get their parents out.

"I guess they had to see it." Raikou said.

"But now, they pretty much have no future. We need to get this spirit protectors thing done, because I already know they will go to the funeral of their parents." Entei said, as Suicune grabbed both of the parents out of the car and laid them out near where the girls were crying.

Meanwhile, the only calls besides the normal forest calls of the Butterfree and Venomoth, there were the girls. They weren't talking, but crying over their father's death. Their hair around their faces on the grass, they look at each other and the tears stop. The girls stand back up and start hugging each other immensely, trying to forget about the parents' death, but nothing had helped.

After a few minutes of crying, standing up and looking at each other, they looked at Suicune. He had walked off, whispering, "Here's your parents." and pushed Raikou and Entei with him as the white light began to vanish, but Raikou had sent another bolt to keep the white light.

The girls looked at their parents. It was very obvious that they were dead. In the rain that began to downpour again like it did earlier, they looked at their parents once again, and then huddled and continued crying.

Ok, first off, let me tell you that writing *** in the place of the words in question is incredibly jarring and removes the reader from the fic. There's no need to do so here, and such censorings are best left far away from here.

Double-posting is also unnecessary--if you want to post two chapters at a time, do so in one post. Only double-post if it's been a few days and no one's replied and you want to get the next part up.

And...what the heck does this mean?
when the triplets were born, their mother condemned that they look as identical as their sisters,

WHAT?

I for one feel separate posts make for easier reading, Blackjack.

I'm with Blackie on this. Why bother bleeping out words? Shit, fuck, God damn, we can say it all. We're not being held down by The Man here! WE ARE NOT ROBOTS!! RIP THE SYSTEM!! CHE VIVE!! CHE VIVE!!

*gulps down a handful of ritalin*

*ahem*

I don't really get the use of Italics, though. Italics, IMHO, is best used during flashback scenes, or re-iterations of historical speeches/phrases, rather than just foreground-background action.

Yeah, Blacky definitely has the right of it on THAT one. Bleeping things out when you don't have to doesn't make good writing, in fact it does quite the reverse.

You mentioned in your author's notes to 'excuse the errors that don't make sense.' Um, what? If there are errors, grammatical or otherwise, then shouldn't you endeavor to fix them before posting? You can always edit the fic at your leisure, but many readers will be turned off by this.

Okay, the reason they're in stars is because IGN doesn't allow it. I'll uncensor them in future.

Yeah, I kinda screwed up on that line. Identical triplets, but I really didn't check that line. Whoops.

Okay. I depicted their mum to be your common blonde hair stupidity-ful actress that doesn't have that much of a common sense of decency. Oh whoops, I forgot to add that in there again.

And I'll probably edit those asterisks soon to identify the full point. But sounds like a bad fic already doesn't it..

Another thing that struck me in re-reading it today: italics. You could use that only when one of the Legendary Beasts is speaking. Otherwise, it gets way too distracting.

Checked through this, hope I got at least most of the errors that I had here before..

Chapter 3 - Crystal Vision

The girls began to dry their tears. They saw Entei, Suicune and Raikou beginning to walk off, so they started to walk towards them. The dogs heard the girls' footsteps and they stopped.

"You finished?" Entei asked.

"Yes, we are." Natalie said, wiping some final tears, then Nicole butted in, "What are we supposed to do now?"

"Well, come with us. We'll show you something new, something you probably won't ever experience if your parents weren't..." Suicune attempted to say, before Raikou headbutted Suicune to make him fall, "Don't say that.." as he stared at Suicune.

"Well, we already know what happened." the triplets said simultaneously, which is normal on little comments.

"Okay, then." as Suicune got back on his feet, "Come back to the shrine with us. We wish to speak to you." as he began to use his formal tone, his tone lower than his casual voice.

"I guess so." Nicole replied, sighing, "We pretty much have no other choice here." Nikki followed, as the dogs walked with the girls behind them.

They walked back towards the cave in silence. Entei cast a ball of light to cast sunshine, to avoid the rain of the past. The girls looked back to the site once each but all stared back on the ground. After a few minutes of silence, they had reached the cave again. They walked into the dogs' shrine, and as the dogs laid on the fur rug, the girls decided to sit on the tree stumps. Natalie was about to sit on one before, "Don't sit there!" Raikou commanded.

It was too late, as an instant 'Squish' had taken place as soon as Natalie sat, and Raikou wanted to yell, but couldn't. In a lower tone, he said, "Um, you actually just sat on some of those berries of mine."

Natalie looked on her buttocks and saw a blue juice across her trousers. She, taking the initative, just found a nearby rug and sat on the rug.

"So, what exactly did you want us for?" Nikki asked, with a quick response from Nicola, "I was about to ask that!"

There was some moments of silence, but as the girls were about to insist, Entei raised his paw and put it in front of him, "We're trying to find the words to say."

After a few more moments of silence, with the girls staring at the light above them, now sunny, Suicune stood up and said, "Well, we want to explore your deeper past."

Staring at each other, the girls looked around before Natalie said, "But why?"

"You'll see later. Will you let us look at your minds?" Entei asked.

As the triplets huddled once again, like they always do, and said simultaneously, "Yes."

"Now, you must lie down and relax. It may sting for a while but it will all be over soon." Raikou said, as he got the girls to relax on the fur rug. The dogs stood above them. The dogs combined attacks, and cast an elemental hypnosis, sort of like an anathestic.

"Okay, we ready?" Raikou asked the other two.

"I think so." Suicune said, with the dogs foreheads glowing, started to dwell into the minds of the girls.

The first vision came from inside the girls' house. It looked like they were around 7-8, and were just about to go to school.

"We don't want to go! We don't want to go!" Natalie and Nicola complained to their mother.

"But, Nikki needs her rest." Mel replied.

"But we're not the same without her!" Nicola argued as Natalie continued, "You wanted us alike Mum, so we have to stick together." Natalie said, as the two held hands and were about to walk upstairs.

"Okay, I guess.." Mel said, as the two happily went upstairs, to see Nikki who they hugged, as they went to their room.

The second vision came from a basketball game, a little older however, about 9-10. They were huddling in a girls City Final, and there was one play left.

"Now Nat, pass it to Tracey, she's the best shooter in the team, and if she gets it in, we've won the girls' final. Remember, we've got only eight seconds so you have to run fast. Pass it to your sisters if you get in trouble, they'll probably won't notice the difference since you three have are indistinguishable on the court. So, let's go!" the coach said, as the girls went back on the court.

With their blue singlets, the girls arrived back on court. But, the triplets talked.

"Pass the ball to me. Trust me, I can get it in." Nicola asked Natalie.

"No, me Nat, me." Nikki said, as the two were both staring at Natalie.

"But why?" she asked.

"Maybe because we want to be the winners, by ourselves, not a team win." the two replied.

"Well, I certainly want to be the winners too.." Natalie said, then shrugged then said, "Just pass it between us, okay?"

"Okay." the other two replied, as play commenced. Nicola passed it to Natalie, who dribbled the ball very quickly, speeding past defenders in a flash. She passed it to Nikki, who without listening to the coach fuming on the other side of the court, shot it, missed and the buzzer went.

The third vision came from an authorium, where the principal was speaking at the End of Year Prizegiving at Goldenrod Junior High School.

"Before we hand out our top student awards, I'd like to say that to all those leaving to High School or their Pokemon journey, almost all of you have studied or played to the best of your ability, and this school is proud of that."

After a cough, he continued, "Now, there are three students who we could not decide between for the trophy this year. The three that wins this year, the Top Overall Students of the Year are Natalie Cooper, Nikki Cooper and Nicola Cooper."

The students were mixed on the triplets winning, since they had won the trophy a year before and had done very rude speeches that pretty much said that they were better than everyone else. Even their principal was a little nervous. The girls walked onto the stage, the three holding hands.

"Of course, the girls need to make a speech, thanking those who have helped them." the principal said as he walked off to take his seat, passing the girls and mumbling, "Make it a nice speech."

The girls stood, clumped together on the little pedestal with their hands around each other. Natalie began the speech, "Well, let's try to not start this like last year. Thank you to those who have helped us, been friends with us and will hopefully continue to help us on our Pokemon journeys."

Nicola continued, "And also, we'd like to thank the teachers, and everyone at Goldenrod Junior High."

The three of them coughed, then said together, "But still, we're better than all of you, and we will probably stay better than you. So, support us when we're on the television screen and you're not!" as they held the trophy with one hand each, and walked off stage, with several boos coming from the junior high school audience.

There was a fourth, but..

Entei closed his vision and walked off. Suicune and Raikou removed their vision seconds after and the girls woke up. Entei walked out of the cave and curled up, a little bit in disgust.

'Are these girls really the type we want?' Entei thought, as he looked out into the plains and forests of the outside of New Bark Town.

Raikou and Suicune followed. The girls left them to their silence, all looking at each other with their pale skin and their big brown eyes, saying "I don't think they like our attitude."

Outside, Suicune and Raikou looked at Entei. "We can tell, we can tell." Raikou said, as they walked further into the forest so the girls didn't see what was going on.

"So, you don't think they are worth the risk?" Raikou asked.

"I'm not sure. Personally, they are 50-50." Entei replied, looking at the sky now, and not the forest.

"Yes, we can all tell. I think they would do good." Suicune said, further adding, "They act identically, they need each other, what else do you need?"

"I guess so. I feel as though I'm sure that they'll be the greatest Spirit Protectors ever. On the other hand, I have this feeling that they may turn against us." Entei replied.

"Well, I don't think so." Raikou said, who moved to look Entei eye-to-eye, "We just need to tell them. They can't use us in battles, remember the last group that tried?"

"Of course, of course." Suicune replied, resting next to a tree, remembering the last group of protectors that tried to release them in a Pokemon League battle. He kicked the back of the tree and ended up falling on top of Raikou, screaming in pain. The other two dogs began laughing as they removed the tree, then Entei asked, "Yes, the group that tried to release us was more of a crack-up than that."

"Well, they're smart. They'll remember the rules, they may go off-key but it seems as though they're not often in a fight." Suicune replied.

"Yeah. We needed three people, best friends, siblings or triplets who could be wise, strong-minded, smart but also would be in the fights, of course. They do need to save the world, you know."

"Yes. They have three of the attributes but not the fourth."

"Or I guess we haven't seen it yet." Entei added, then asked Raikou, "Talk to the girls about what we think. They deserve to know really."

Back in the cave, the girls were wondering what had happened.

"I have no idea why they wanted to look at our memories.." Natalie said, staring at each other, sitting on the tree stumps. Raikou entered again, walking to the tree stumps. He said, "You'll need to listen carefully."

"But why?" Natalie asked, "It's odd you look at our memories, then storm out of the cave and stay out there leaving us in suspense!" Nicola continued, with the girls all got up off the tree stumps, with their hands crossed.

"It's kind of hard to explain.." Raikou said, but after a long breath, he told, "We want you to protect us."

The girls looked at each other, then Nikki asked, "Say what?"

"Haven't you ever heard of a Spirit Protector?" Raikou asked, with a very quick reply from Nikki, saying "No."

Natalie thought about it, then said, "You mean something like people protecting spirits? So you want us to protect spirits? But what for?"

"Easy on the questions, ladies. And I thought it would be obvious who's spirits you ladies will be guarding." Raikou explained, using a much more formal tone than he ever has used.

The girls looked at each other again, and were laughing, saying together, "Are you serious?"

"Yes, we are serious. There are privileges, and there are some big guidelines you will need to follow." Raikou said, as the girls came a little closer, as he continued, "Every legendary often has a trainer beside them, to help them, to guide them, to take advice from. Because, otherwise legendaries can get hunted and forced to do things they shouldn't do. Legendaries have ancient powers so they each find a trainer. This trainer needs to be wise, strong-minded, smart and also scout trouble, since legendaries will only come out when they know they are needed, and may flee from your ball if you use the legendaries harshly. And does not mean a gym leader or normal trainer fight. Does mean however, a fight against wrongdoers or teams of evil."

Raikou paused for a second to ensure that the triplets were understanding everything he was saying. He continued, "We want you three to be our guardians. We normally get a set of good friends or siblings, but in your case, triplets. No-one is to ever know that you're a Spirit Protector, or else we will flee from the balls. So, what do you say? Do you agree to take the role?"

The girls thought for a minute. They were very stunned that a set of random legendaries would give them a role after meeting them about an hour ago. After all, why would they ask them to be protectors? Even though they knew a bit about Pokemon, they did't know a whole lot.

Entei and Suicune just entered the door after Raikou spoke. "They made their decision yet?" Entei asked.

"I only just told them." Raikou replied. After a slight nod from Entei, he then said, "Boy, you're too slow."

The girls looked at each other, rolling their eyes, then staring back at Raikou, Natalie said, "Can we have a night to think about it?"

"Sure. You can stay here if you need to. Oh wait, you haven't got your gear..." Raikou said.

"Well, our packs are in the bunch of metal down the forest." Nicola replied.

"Go for it then." Raikou replied, as the girls ran outside. It didn't take them long to find the car, as they quickly ran towards it. They went to the car and opened the boot without looking at their parents, since they'd know they'll cry again.

They opened the boot which was barely damaged (unlike the rest of the car) to find their three, identical green tramping packs. They latched it up onto their backs and their waists, and began running back to the cave.

"Wow, you girls must be lightning quick, that barely took you any time at all." Entei said, greeting them at the entrance of the cave.

"Thanks." Natalie replied, "We are quite athletic, we do some cross-country."

"I see, I see. Come inside." Entei said, as the sun was about to set. Entei kicked some driftwood into suitable size, and lit a fire inside.

"Did you girls bring any food with you?" Raikou asked the girls, with everyone sitting close to the open fire, directly below the hole out of the cave.

The girls looked into their bags, and had a couple sandwiches in each of their bags, "Yeah we do." Nikki said.

"That's good." Raikou replied, "Because we're normally eating berries and other types of meat."

"I see.." Nicola said, and wondered whether or not something up in the air. "Hey, I think we all need our sleep. I mean, we were in Cherrygrove this morning, and now we're here with legendaries."

"I'll second that." Nikki said quickly, with a "Third that too." by Natalie.

"Just get out your sleeping bags." Entei said, as the triplets laid out their sleeping bags. But, before they went to sleep, they got out of their white T-shirts with blue stripes to reveal red sports bras.

"You didn't need to take that off, you know." Suicune said, a little stunned.

"We can't sleep with shirts on, trust me here." Natalie said, as the three got in their sleeping bags and began sleeping. All was silent in the cave once again, then with some grunts from the dogs, they fell asleep too.
