GameStop stores to open early for Platinum release: Many locations to open at 9 a.m. Sunday

Many GameStop locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico will open at 9 a.m. Sunday – earlier than usual — for the release of Pokémon Platinum.

On the 22nd, it was supposed to open at 11.

Thank god for this. I'll only wait for 2 hours this way.

It's too bad I can't read pdf files...

More than likely one of the two GameStops near me will open early (and they are literally within a block of each other). So now I have to get out of bed two hours earlier! Great.

Well, considering that I won't be near the store where I pre-ordered it until 12:30 anyway, this really doesn't affect me much. Just makes me even gladder I pre-ordered it.

Why do we need a news article for something as minor as this when the rest of the world (excluding Japan) doesn't even get a release date mention? Talk about biass...

Well, maybe you can stop complaining and contribute articles to Bulbanews specifically for the Australian audience. Or you can contact a Bulbanews editor, after all, how else do you think they get the news?

And I'm sure that there has been an article regarding release dates for every other place, and why you would expect it specifically on this thread to inform the American audience who may not know about an early opening is beyond me.

So anyone know what those code things were and the date for the Rotom event?

There is no event. There's a pamphlet containing a single code for a random Rotom form. The key is to find friends and see if you can get the other codes. #Pocketmonsters should have all the codes, I think.

Awww, man, I wish I had known about this sooner. I wanted to go there as early as possible! But my mom didn't think Gamestop would be open early because our store is located inside the mall. >_<

Oh well, my mom is taking me to get Platinum this afternoon, so I'll still have my game. ^^;

So they aren't having a wifi distribution for the Secret Key?
