Really? Of course Garchomp is gonna win because:
- It's a pseudo-legendary
- It's more bulky than Charizard
- It has Sand Veil
- One Sword Dance = Total annihilation of the opponent's team
There's a reason why it's an uber in the first place.

Let's not even pretend that this is a real contest on the competitive side.
Design-wise, Garchomp is better. It's just more creative than the generic dragon.

My fingers hurt for typing that.
I hate Garchomp. Oh how much I hate Garchomp. It is probably the pokémon I hate the most. It's not so much that I like Charizard, the thing is crazy overrated, but oh my god I hate Garchomp.
It's grossly overpowered. It makes its way to UBERGODZ teams. I hate its design.
It's the embodiment of the "LOOK AT ME IM A DRAGON TYPE I TALK IN ALL CAPS AND RAWRRRRR". If it wasn't because of him, powerful dragons that deserve to be so wouldn't feel that crowded.
So I can't. I can't pretend I like it in the least. And Charizard is fine. A little bland, not a particularly great pokémon... but if you ignore the hype it's fine.

@Ranger Jack Walker That's not true! Charizard can... uh... well he can....ummm....die? Yeah... I got nothing.
@Infinity Mk-II I agree with most of what you say, except I still like Garchomp marginally better because, after all is said and done, it doesn't suck. Charizard is pure crap. With that said, I dislike both of them to the nth degree.

Charizard isnt THAT bad... I soloed the elite four with my charizard once... and died. lol.

Garchomp would obviously win lol..but i'm not a fan of garchomp..im much more interested in Charizard..i might be the only one but i would choose Charizard
I really like both of them. They both have great designs and are very good in battle. However, I'm gonna go with Charizard, simply because Charmander is probably my favorite fire starter, and c'mon,Charizard is just so badass. It's probably my favorite full-grown form for a fire starter, too.
