Garrr Power Anklet FAIL! - Help me plez kind sir?

Well i went into the battle tower as you do, defeated 20 trainers straight with garchomp alone, pwned that tower tycoon fella, got me a power anklet, gave it 2 my Kingdra, level up once, +6 speed, second, +4, third +3. i thought it was meant to give at LEAST 4? whats going on? can anyone help me or at least explain it please?

It gives you 4 EVs, not 4 stat points.

Okay lets assume im a nub retard, which i am. but whats the difference. doesnt EV -> stats?

4 EVs grant you 1 stat point.

The stat points that the EVs get you do not immediately get added when you level up. Sometimes when levelling you will get something like 30 speed points added while other times they are more gradually added as you level such as 5 speed points per level.

However I believe that you can get your EVs and not have to level for them to be factored in when you use the battle tower. Anyone feel free to correct me if I got something wrong.

So basically im getting 1 extra stat point for using this item, and i'll get another stat point if i beat another 2 golbats which are 2 EV's each, and so on?
