Gary back?!

I came into possession of the ShiShi mailing list quite a while ago, so I found out about Gary being back since the list suddenly exploded in activity. I was pretty suprised that he actually came back, and apparently that whole thing about his voice actor quitting was a rumor. Anyways this is the translation by Maiko of the scene from the Japanese episode:

<After Shigeru beats Team Rocket>
Satoshi: Wow!
Shigeru: Good work, Elekiburu.
Satoshi: No data?
Shigeru: Elekiburu is a Pokemon I got in the Shinou region.
Satoshi: Wow, so there are Pokemon like this in the Shinou region huh.
Hey, let's battle!
Shigeru: Sorry, Elekiburu just used his energy. If you want to battle,
come later. I'll be at the Ookido lab.
Satoshi: Okay! It's decided then!

<At the Ookido lab>
Kenji: Okay, let's start Satoshi's celebration party.
Satoshi: Wait a minute. Before that, there's something I need to do.
Ookido: Something you need to do?
Satoshi: Shigeru, Elekiburu's all right now, right?
Shigeru: Yeah. It's okay to battle anytime.
Satoshi: All right, let's battle!

<After the battle>
Shigeru: Satoshi, you don't have time to be celebrating just because you
conquered the Battle Frontier. There are alot of strong Pokemon in the
Shinou region that you don't know about. The world is a big place...Well
then Ookido-hakase, I'll be returning to Shinou now.
Ookido: You're leaving already?
Kenji: You should take it easy here for a bit.
Shigeru: I don't have time for that. I have alot of things I need to do.
Kenji: I see.
Ookido: Well then, I'll be happily waiting for your next report. Stay
healthy.
Shigeru: I will. I'll be going now.
<Shigeru leaves>
Satoshi: Shinou region...Pokemon I still don't know about, huh. Mom,
Ookido-hakase, I'm going to go to the Shinou region!
Ookido: Of course...I though you would say that.

I actually watched the episode, when Satoshi first sees Shigeru he like stutters out his name XD. Now he's choosing what region to go to based on where Shigeru will be, again.

Then there was also an episode a little while ago when there was a scene of Ash getting a postcard from Gary. Maiko's translation:

Satoshi: So Shigeru's working hard too.
<Postcard scene>
Shigeru: Pull yourself together, Satoshi-kun.
Satoshi: Shi-Shigeru.
Shigeru: You beat me. Is it alright for you to keep on losing like this?
Satoshi: I know.
Shigeru: Really? Then you have to hurry up and move foward.
Satoshi: I will win! I'll definitely win next time!
Shigeru: Cause I don't have time to stand around with you to wait.
<End postcard scene>
Haruka: What is it Satoshi?
Satoshi: That's right, there is no time to stand around. All right, I'll
do it!
Masato: Now he's suddenly full of energy.
Satoshi: Of course I am! With everyone cheering me on like this, I
wouldn't be a
man if I didn't get fired up!
Enishida: Satoshi-kun's finally acting like himself again.
<Ookido-hakase and Enishida exchange pleasantries>
Ookido: Shigeru is my grandson and Satoshi's rival. In times like this,
he's the
best medicine for Satoshi.
Enishida: I see.

Yay! It's so nice that he's back, even if he won't be on as much as he used to, but hey, for the sake of old school! ;D I can always hope, though, that he will.

Anyway, that's some blatant, obvious proof of Palletshipping right there :-D. And it's so nice to see them back again, if only for a while. Ah, the memories ^_^...
