The GBA is cheaper. And the SP is cheaper than the Micro (not to mention a superior product, but details like that tend to be missed).

Sometimes, you've gotta make a small, additional sacrifice to get something better in return. By how much is a DS more expensive than an SP these days, anyway? And considering you can get one bundled with Mario Kart, which everyone seems to be raving about - for almost the same price as a stand-alone DS, I think it's a rather nice deal.

My problem isn't money though - it's that my parents hate video games, and would be upset if I bought one. :/

In the US, the Mario Kart Bundle is $150 (So the DS itself is $120), while the SP is $80.
