I think it's a cool game and hope to get it soon. Anyone else like it?

All of the gauntlet games were fun, yet they get old rather quickly (at least to me).

I haven't played and enjoyed a Gauntlet game since the original. I LOVED that thing in the arcade. It was so damned addictive. It was just...so cool.

I'm talking about the ORIGINAL Gauntlet. not Dark Legacy, just straight up GAUNTLET. It was kick ass cool. And I NEVER use that phrase. Ever. It hurts me to do so.

Well, we have a hard core gauntlet fan on our hands. I don't think I've played the original, was it just on the arcade machine?

Who could you use in the original Gauntlet?

No, it was also for, I THINK the Genesis and SNES. Or at least the NES. I KNOW I played it on a console at one time, and AT LEAST the sequals were for the Genesis/SNES.

There was a male warrior (kinda Conan-ish), a female archer, a dwarf, and...I THINK the fourth was some sort of mage...can't remember if it was male or female.

And when did it come out?

I dunno. Like...late 80s, early 90s at the latest. Maybe mid 80s. I CAN'T REMEMBER EVERYTHING. But seriously, it's been a LONG time since I've played it, but I KNOW I loved it, and I know I played it constantly. If you want specifics, I suggest looking it up, because I can only remember a little of the combat, and picking up items before they faded out of existence. Fun game, though. I'd recommend it to anyone who has the chance.

LOL, I can't even find places to buy old SNES games anymore, let alone NES games. Yet, I would if I could.

Sounds like Gauntlet IV that was on Sega. It had the Warrior, Dwarf, Archer (with a different name, IIRC), and the last one was called Valkeryie (might be spelled wrong).

I used Valkeryie in Gauntlet IV so I'm using her again in Dark Legacy.

I see you are really up on your favorite character, LOL.

It's not really my place to talk either, since I too have no clue!

Valkeryie uses a big sword in Dark Legacy. I think it's the same for the other Gauntlets.

The game is a lot of fun, but I can't get over how large they make boobs on female characters...

LOL, I didn't notice that. So I spelled Valkeryie correctly?

Aaah, actually, no, I just checked and it's Valkyrie. I was having doubts about how it was spelt, so I just put what you did. Heh.
